Anybody ever hear of a "Shovel"? Properly manipulated they can be quite usefull in removing earthen obstructions in the path of a vehicle. Anybody ever hear of a "Sheepherders jack"? Called HiLift in some parts. They can kill or miam ya. They can also help when properly utilized. Anybody ever hear of common sense? sometimes reffered to as brains, smarts. I've always maintained' ANYTHING CAN BE BROKE!!!!An idiot seems to be able to do it faster and quicker than anybody else. :redX: Sure hope congress doesn't hear about this. The last thing we need is another Gov agency enforcing gov mandated rules on the extraction of personal transportation devices. There must be a good acronym for that. Just can't think of one now.

School me on truck boxes...

Check your military surplus. They have ammo cans in various sizes. There strong and weather tight. I found 2 that fits between the front of the bed and the wheel well and doesn't stick out into the bed. I have one on each side of the bed. -
I never lock a vehicle. It's bad enough replacing what was stolen without having to replace a broken window too. Never leave anything in it. Have a heavy metal box in trunk, bed or behind seat with good lock. Micro switch behind the ashtray.Ashtray out, no start. I also have a firm rule if they do get it going. The county road is a mile from the house. When , if, they reach it, I quit shooting. On one occasion I was having trouble with punks I left a couple rattlesnakes in the cab. No more trouble there.

I've never used one of these on a MJ. However I did on a S10. They're quite similiar. Instead of a electric compressor I took a air compressor from a '74 Cadillac with factory equipted load levelers. It works off manifold vaccuam. Worked great.

I hated it when the bulb burned out in the old Stromberg Carlson. We couldn't see where the dial was setting and had to take the back of the set to change it.

I believe the first thing I would do is loosen the line between the master and slave cyls. This would indicate whether the prob is mstr cyl or clutch assy. Wrap a rag around the line to catch fluid. The pedal moves prob is clutch assy. Pedal still doesn't move, master cyl.

Just found out where the water is coming from on the passenger side floorboards. GF is wetting her pants at my driving. Guess the next project here is tracking down that smell.

The last time I walked thru a dealership garage I didn't see a single old car there. Just trouble free new ones. That should get several responses.

Just give it to me. Save your mind the wear and tear of agonizing over it.

Hey,,,Hope you'l be as happy and your marriage lasts as long, longer than mine. 44 years. If it hadn't been for that anorism we'd still be together.

That's the trouble with 'closer looks'.

Almost everyplace I've been, Alaska, Greenland, Scandinavian countries, uses both a block heater and a battery charger. They're hooked together under the hood so there is only one cord coming out. Don't need a big charger, 2-5 Amps. Even if you have a easy starting car the heater makes life easier on the motor.

Gas tank being open wouldn't have any thing to do with pressure.Start at the source and confirm or eliminate the problem.Run a ground lead to the fuel filler insert. Hook a pressure guage to the fuel outlet. Apply +12 volts to the fuel pump lead. The orange wire. The other wire is the sending unit. You should get a reading. You should also be able to hear the pump running. Don't have a guage, just leave the hose open. Gas should shoot out 10 ft. Make sure your in the open and be careful when doin that.Or just catch it in a can, bottle. Won't tell how much pressure but will at least tell ya it's working. If nothing then first check the filter at the bottom of the pump.if it's clean then check the hose from the top of the pump. The above suggestion is assuming the pump is still in the tank. If it is out of the tank then fill a coffee can with gas. About a quarter full.Stick the pump in it. Run the test. Be careful doing this. Gas explodes and burns quite easily.

What goes here?(Intake Manifold)
jimoshel replied to dancome433's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Look near the charcoal canister on the right side of the engine by the firewall. There should be a plastic "Y" fitting within the immediate area. A hose goes from your open fitting on the intake man. to one leg of this "Y".The other leg of the "Y" goes under the dash for heater AC controls. The bottem of the "Y" goes to the storage canister behind the right hand bumper. -

CongressFoolingCitizens,,,,,This is a family site. A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 miles per gallon uses 480 Gallons a year.So the average CFC transactionwill reduce U.S. gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year. They claim700,000 vehicles so that's 224 million gallons of gas saved per year. That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil. 5 Million barrels is about 5 hours worth of U.S. consumption.5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million. We spent $8.57 for every dollar saved. How great a deal is that? Jim
