  1. I don't need a list of things to do to my MJ(S). Just money. :rotf:
  2. Don't get me started on that. After paying $30 more to get a 120 alt over a 90 and 65 amp units I noticed I had 3 of them in the scrap pile. Tore them apart and discovered they were all 3 exactly identical. The wiring ,and sometimes rectifiers, should have been different guages for diff amp ratings.
  3. A month ago UHaul still had receiver hitches. Class 3, 3500lbs. A little pricy at $210 but nice fit.
  4. AutoZone shows both numbers as the same. DL5511-6 The OEM numbers from the manufacturer will be different for the the different year of manufacture but the component will be the same. The after market numbers will be the same for all parts that will fit . Besides, Correy has both units. He can put them side by side and compare, unless one is in Mo and the other is in Wi.
  5. According to the parts catalog they are one and the same. Same parts No.
  6. If you would break that rock up into smaller pieces you could push them into the ground easier.
  7. Needs more mud.
  8. When I was working in Australia the site was 60 Kilo's from the main road where the mail box was. The postal delivery drove a Ute RHD. His personnal vehicle. When I was in England the only postal vans I saw were mini coopers. RHD. Post office issue. I'm sure there were others but those are the only ones I recall. Really don't recall what they drove in Japan. Was to busy chasing,,er,,, checking out museums. Altho I'm sure they were RHD.
  9. Reread your post and caught the part about 3 terminal switch. Means automatic. I don't have any autos so I can't help you with what wire goes where. However the yellow and the brown wires are your nuetral using 2 of the terminals and the third wire is back up light.
  10. I have a RH fender from a 1984 Waggoner, No dents, 4" strip of rust along top of fender flare. I could not poke a knife blade thru it. $30 plus shipping from 81001.
  11. But that 'whistling' at highway speeds. :rotfl2:
  12. I always alternate my primer colors so when sanding the high-low spots show better. But try to match the final primer color to the finish coat ,
  13. The 2 wires you show goes to the transmission nuetral sw. The other wires go nowhere. They're just there. Got this data from a '84, '85, '86 XJ. The '85 has the 2 center wires jumpered. The '84 and 86 doesn't. Edit I found my '86 wiring book. As stated above the yellow and the black wires go to the tran nuetral sw. If you have the auto one of the remaining wires is for backup lt. The 3 I looked at were all standard.

  15. Don't know if it's standard but my '87 4WD with 4.0 and AW4 has a dana 44 with 3.07.
  16. Never did. probably because it's to obvious.
  17. I based my answer on the fact that he keeps his tires properly inflated, which as we all know effects rolling resistance.Exception; If your high centered on a tree stump. :typing: I retract my previous statement. Go with the 8K,
  18. Dave knows the difference. My vote is he's been drinkin again, or just a slip of the brain. :rotf:
  19. A 6K should be adequate for a MJ. My personal rule is the winch capability should be twice the wt of the load to be pulled. Don't forget a pulley block and a tree strap.

  21. When you have a state with more mules than cars you're not gonna find to many good drivers. :D
  22. How long have you been sitting on that waiting to whip it out on somebody? Frankly I'm impressed. :smart:
  23. Looks like you have head gasket leaking between 3&4. But those are good figures otherwise.
  24. Knows what 'exacerbates' is. It's something Sir Lancelot pulled out of King Arthur and stuck in 'Joan De Arc'
  25. Heh, heh. Tell that to the guys trying to pull upgrades on the Interstate with a 4-cylinder 5-speed ... You got that right. I hooked a 1500lb stock trailer up to my '89 MJ, 2.5 With 5 speed, loaded 2 horses ,2800 lbs, and went up Raton pass at 70MPH after I shifted down from 5th to 4th. Just wouldn't quit knocking in 5th. Good thing there's holes in the floor of the trailer tho. Lousy brakes and the horses had to drag their feet, Hooves? going down the other side. :rotf:
