  1. Hahaha! Awesome!
  2. Going off of what Pete said, I think yours, DirtyComanche, is borderline fine cause it's still part of the buildup. I like it in this section. Your posts weren't the reason for my questions.
  3. Excuse my ignorance, but what's a spammer?
  4. How much for the gas tank? I just got the new MJ home and put 12gallons of gold in it to find out there is about a 1/4" hole knocked in the bottom of it. Guy had a self tapper screwed in it. Weld it closed :teehee:
  5. What should this forum have or not have in it? Seems like some of it's just tech or pub stuff.
  6. As long as it's a 4 door, they will. It's not actually fabrication that's needed for the latches either. I believe it's just unscrewing the cab side piece from the donor, and screwing it higher up on your MJ.
  7. In Skeleton Key, in the part after Caroline hinds the old guy, she gets brought into town in an MJ. It's dark, so it's really hard to see it, and it lasts for half of a second, but it was there... I think.
  8. Lol, that's awesome! Sounds pretty cool. 200 seems like alot for a spacer, but the adjustability sounds handy for "the perfect lift"
  9. Shiiiiit That thing doesn't look safe...
  10. My only concern would be the warping of the metals under high heat, but taking one's time would cure any fear of this. For me, it's worth taking the time to do it, and I don't factor time into the price of anything automotive related unless it's needed to get on the road. I, personally, like working on things, and would rather not spend the money because I'm frugal. Do what you'd like, and if it doesn't work, do something else. You're probably not gonna die unless you're real careless with things.
  11. That's exactly what I was thinking of! So badass. I think I might be coming down with baja-itis.
  12. How do those ACOS work?
  13. In my head I have a swing out tire carrier/tail gate. I'd loose a little bedspace, but not much; I'd keep a tailgate; It'd look cool and replace my '80s bumper.
  14. I love my square shaft in rear on my Yota, but it won't see the streets.
  15. What's a baja style tailgate? I'm lifted 3" in front and 2" in back, but it'll probably end up 4"/2". From the ground to the center of the flare in front is 36-3/8" and in rearis 36-1/2"; pretty level.
  16. The Nissan board has a chat room. Eww to Nissans, but still. Is this a possibility? I know it'd be empty alot, but it'd still be awesome.
  17. Tailgate might not be bad. I was thinking about making a new rear bumper anyhow, maybe I could do a swing out carrier. At least the roof's better than the hood.
  18. I'm trying to decide where my spare should go. I've got a lond bed, but I don't really wanna fill the bed with a tire. I also don't have the holder underneath anymore, not sure if the ProComp 31'd fit under there anyways. So... Any ideas? Thinkin about mounting it against the inside of the bedside, but it might look dorky? Haven't seen it on an MJ. I like it at the rear, cause bedspace is kept and the traction is improved, but hay bails like it there more than tires. For an update on the truck: It's all ready for the motor, and I'm gonna pick up metal for the bumper soon! Think I'll throw some spacers on the front end, cause I like how it sits and the weight of the motor and bumper are non-existant right now.
  19. One thing about running leaves backwards though is pinion angle. I had my rear Toyota leaves in front, and reversed for a better approach angle. The pinion went perfectly level with the ground, not nearly at the T-Case.
  20. What's stopping the leaves from being usable in reverse if you chose Comanche replacements?
  21. As far as gearing, I think 5.88s will be good with the 4. 38s does push the 44 rear, but how it holds up depends on how hard you wheel. Having discs on 38s'd be real nice if you're going anywhere with speed (in case you decide to Ever slow down), but most full size truck guys don't run em on 38s and the trucks are alot heavier. On the other hand, know one said they've got brains.
  22. My friend's '87 XJ used to do it. We just jiggled the green wire. Worked everytime.
  23. Did they run monoleaves on those?
