I suggest taking a look at this Pirate thread for 4Runner bumpers.
4Runners have taller tailgates than Pickups, so it's similar to cutting the lowers on a Manche.

Post #17 on there would continue the diamond plate thing you have going, but I don't know if it'd match your tube tire gate so much.
Hi-ya! Threadjack Ninja!
I've had good experience with my Skyjackers, even heating them up a real good bit.
Your best bet is probably going to be to get the lift done first, and then worry about shocks instead of the other way around.
My shocks have 10" of travel and limit my droop (too short of a shock) and uptravel (too long for the mounting). Plan on relocating your shock mounts or using a lot of bumpstopping.
I may be mistaken, but I understood this as wiring these:
(in non-LED form)
to the back of the truck instead of taillights on the truck itself.
BARILLMS?
FWIW, I've only been able to get my trailer lights to work for two functions. I have mine as Stop and Running lights, and a different set for blinkers. Don't know the wiring though.
I think the Chilton/Haynes manual has all the wiring diagrams if no one on here knows.
My buddy has a mail Jeep that reminds me of that one. He set it on a Grand Wagoneer frame and 39.5 Pit Bull Rockers, so it now has a 360 in it. Any plans on a similar route?
Threadjack, but where are you finding these deals?? I cannot seem to find anything that good on the local wheeling board, Pirate, Snort, Craigslist, or the paper's ads.
Check your fuel pump ground. A bad taillight ground will make all of your lighting @#$% up, but your fuel pump ground would be your cutting out problem.
It sure is nice to see a clean floor like that on this site.
If you find a bucket seat combo with a good middle seat deal, lemme know about it. I need to start looking. No doors and a bench seat is uncomfortable at times.
