yeah i realize that my compressed coil length doesnt really mean anything, but the original poster wanted lengths of coils in the truck and that is what i gave him :D

i would wait till you have the funds to do the 6.5in lift.

my 6.5in coils are 18.5in from top to bottom.

and i had no troubles when i converted my 89 4.0 to 4wd.

yeah i saw it when that s-10 blew the 3rd member clean off the housing. it was wierd, they were staging and all of the sudden the motor revved and there was a huge bang noise. then all you see is parts and oil all over the ground. pretty crazy. i like the all out edtiion. the normal one is gets annoying when they sandbag each other.

I'm at 6in or so of lift and had some vibes at around 60mph. i did a 1in t-case drop and it cured it.

an easy way to figure that out is to jack up the rear end and spin the tires. if they both spin the same direction, you have an lsd, it they spin opposite directions, then you have an open diff.
