Dirteatr717 replied to jpnjim's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
Awesome!!!! don't know how I missed this! My dad had a 53' powerwagon I believe -
I've seen this in person... you should see the piles of garbage and trees that every down has dumped in any place they could think of, soccer fields and they starting dumping Christmas trees an smaller brush on what's left of te dunes at the beach.. Saw one pile near my town that had to be 2 football fields long and close to 100 ft high of just logs

It's internal and I'm almost due for a new clutch too so I might put a new one in while I have it all apart. Bought a brand new Mopar OEM slave off fleabay for $70 shipped, thanks for the link Hornbrod! Ok I need these for my truck to stay drivable which is taking away from my axle/tire fund! Clutch Motor mounts Exhaust manifold Replaced my rear driveshaft u-joint today 20 minutes before I went on a lunch date lol not a single needle bearing was still in the axle yolk caps hahah

Catastrophic U-Joint Failure...

Replaced my rear driveshaft u-joint today, not a single needle bearing was still in it! -
I'm scared to find out dealer price and paradise I haven't installed a new one yet, I'm asking which brand should I install when the time comes

Welp I get to put a new internal slave in my ax-15 soon as I can tell mine is slowly dying, I've replaced the master and hydraulic line already and bled the system multiple times but the pedal still occasionally goes straight to the floor and brake fluid leaks out of my bellhousing slowly but surely.... but the question is which brand would you guys recommend as I've read that some only lasted a short period of time before going ka-put

:O where did you get those LED license plate bolts? I'm in need of such a fancy thing! Btw bumper came out awesome

Air tools are nice but I like using regular ole arm power haha Dropped off my axles to get geared 1/4/13 and I'm hoping to have my axles complete and installed with hydro assist before 3/15/13 for a huge Rausch Creek trip. Basically I'm gunna have to bust my a55! On top of all that I needa install brown dog poly motor mounts, new clutch/slave cylinder, upgrade the brake booster and brake master since my brakes suck. Also make rock sliders and a transfer case skid.... $#!&tttt the list keeps growing :(

Thanks for reading :wavey: The ubolts haven't moved yet so they're holding up fine although the square ones would fit better. Not really an update but I'm dropping my fullwidth axles off to get geared within the next week or so. I also think I need a new slave cylinder which I'm not looking forward to doing :( I put in a new hydraulic line and clutch master within the past couplemonths and no matterhow many times I bleed it the pedal occasionally goes straight to the floor... If it's not one thing it's another gahhh

Found out the gearing prices! I was quoted 150 for my rear axle and 200 for my front, getting them done at Solofabworks, same place as Cheroke chief. If you want a phone number PM me so I get the email notification :wavey:

Comanche Long Arm
Dirteatr717 replied to misfitmechanic's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have the Clayton ylink setup and love it, you can drop the tranny/tcase without having to remove the arms and none of the joints have made a single noise in over a year.....It's a tad pricey but well worth it IMO. If I would've known more about suspension and whatnot I would've gotten the 3 link instead since I'll be swapping to full width axles so it would've made life easier. -
I put a new hydraulic line in my truck a couple months ago and it was a tight fit, my motor mounts are shot and when I turn right when releasing the clutch it bounces off the firewall/ tranny tunnel. Drives me nuts!

87 Mj Leaking Through The Firewall?
Dirteatr717 replied to jamespwsullivan's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I read a little tip that Pete wrote when I had first signed up on here, sprinkle a little baby powder where area of the leak is coming from and spray the hose over and let the water dry, you'll see the baby powder trail  -

We have the same truck! Nice score dude, for the window seals just get em from a junkyard from a Cherokee, the sides are interchangeable and the inside fits on the outside and vice versa -
I'm 20 and my trucks 3 years older then me! If age is just a number then my knees must be about 85!
-
gahh your a little over 8 hours away lol thanks for the offer
