I've been watching videos for days and greatly feel the need to finish my truck!!!! I even went out and bought a spool for my 60 today and bought BD motormounts from a member on here the other day ahah MOAB here we come wooooooo Also just realized I'm gunna have to change my oil before I leave and at some point during my trip :D

Unless you really need the money start wrenchin and enjoy that first ride!

Well it's def a nice setup and not that bad of a price, see if he'll meet you closer or lower the price a little. You could stuff a bigger tire under your truck with 5.5" lift :D

I used a motorcycle lift to lower and slide back the tranny and tcase, worked pretty good for a driveway job, I also had my dad lend a hand by passing me tools and whatnot. :wrench:

Long Arm Options
Dirteatr717 replied to Jakesjeepmj1988's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
my plan for when I swap to my fullwidths is to make my own upper link and mount on the pass side and have 7-8" of axle side separation and hopefully 4" at my frane end without having to "modify" the floorboard too bad lol -
At My Wits End Here With This Rattling Clutch Pedal
Dirteatr717 replied to Goose's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My truck does that too^ that's more of a thump sound, Goose said it's metal on metal rattling. The clutch pedal and the rod are both metal and would rattle if the plastic bushing was shot/missing -
If you bring it to a good gear guy he can set it up, it's not usually recommended but it can be done. As for the trackbar bracket, you can always chop it off and put another one at a different height to match the draglink angle. On a side note what are you future plans for your truck? Tire size, lift all that jazz
-
It's worth more than 300 for sure but you'll need to tweak your trackbar for that bracket

Long Arm Options

I have Clayton radius arms and love em but wished I would've gone with the 3 link. Good thing about Claytons crossmember is that the center section is removable and the arms are still connected to the frame so you can drop your tranny without removing everything like other companies setups. -
At My Wits End Here With This Rattling Clutch Pedal
Dirteatr717 replied to Goose's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It's most likely the plastic bushjng with the metal clip that goes through it, I got one from my local stealership a few years ago and it's shot again. It wasn't that cheap for a little piece of plastic either -
Ahhh the superbowl! I was gunna say cheerios were on top of their game this season and frosted flakes held their own against fruit loops but I'm going with Cinnamon Life!

Side Triangle Vent Window Leak
Dirteatr717 replied to 1989 Eliminator's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm with him ^ hahah I just stick a quarter or nickel between the pillar and the latch so it closes tighter, my driver side has ALWAYS leaked but never the passenger. -
I put in a Luk clutch kit and mopar slave cylinder last weekend, drives nice and smooth

Check out the rockkrawler bombproof one, my friend has it on his XJ and has no complaints. I have the rustys HD bar and bracket and it works fine for me

As of right now I'm voting for September so the heat isn't as bad and people won't have as many problems keeping their trucks cool out on the trail all day  I'll be driving from NY so if anybody wants to tag along somewhere on the road I'm fine with that! I'll also be camping for a majority of the trip. Hopefully a few of you guys can make it!

Got bored and changed in my 2dr XJ bucket seats today, man are they a lot taller! I'm like 5,11" and almost hit my head on the roof and have the seat pretty far back against the window. Gunna figure out a way to lower em about 3" or so. I'll take a pic tmrw of the new interior  also need to find Hubs for my dana60 and get axle shafts, a full spool and a diff cover. Also need axle yokes... Money money money :(

Well it was just a suggestion haha so start throwing out some dates and hopefully other people will start chiming in, otherwise we should make a thread in the pub so its seen by more people

Stumped, Clutch Problems
Dirteatr717 replied to Dirteatr717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That may exactly be my issue since my pedal is missing the plastic grommet that connects to the rod and I guess isn't pushing far enough. Also it sounds like the cup shrunk because when I get in every morning for work I push the pedal like 5 times before there's pressure on it. Thanks for the input I'll fiddle with that later today. -
some of us aren't as lucky and only have 1

I was thinking late July into august, even though it'll be hot I'll just drive across the desert highways doorless :D so if I leave NY July 26th and take a week to get out to Moab that'd be Friday August 2nd for a weekend at Moab! Is that alright for you guys?
