  1. Well my driver side axle seal exploded and hear oil went all over my brakes and I blew a red light the other day.... Took some hardcore searching to get the right bearings and seals. I hate auto part chain stores with a passion even more so now. So here's the new stuff And here's a sneak peak of the new rim/tire combo :D if only my axles were done so I could mount em. Also my sliders are painted but this is an old pic!
  2. CHIEF! Why didn't I think of that, you'll have chief riding in your comanche chief hahah
  3. Congrats man! Good luck!
  4. Sweet! My Shepard is part wolf and is either running or sleeping, hard to keep up with him! Your little guy is def going to be large with those paws haha
  5. Axle situation is figured out, got another 44 housing and traded my 60 for another Full Float smooth bottom 60 with the larger spindles big enough for 35 spline shafts  Also I cut out my rockers and cab corners... As much as I didn't want to cut the cab I did it and welded up my 2x6x3/16 box tube in and primed it. I plan on painting the sliders and up to the first body line either hammered black or just flat black. Today I took apart the whole steering column to tighten those freakin torx bolts for the tilt. Pain in the a55! But it's all better now Also went to the beach the other day, it went from 50 and cloudy out to 74 so threw the soft doors on and went to the beach B) And I'm posting this just because there's 4 manches :D
  6. That's a lot of weight up top, you can mount the hi-lift on the inside of the bed above the wheel wells and a 32" spare fits under the bed in the factory location. Ill eventually get an LED bar, they're pretty sweet
  7. Hope your sister recovers fully! Don't get me started on buses, NYC and the surrounding suburbs have thee WORST bus/taxi drivers ever
  8. Congrats dude, that's pretty awesome!
  9. Congrats, as said above very clean and good looking truck
  10. My windows rattle, my seats are uneven, my driver side window goes down about 85% of the way before it falls into the door, my driver door sometimes doesn't open from the outside but I'd rather jump up into it any day then press a keyless entry button and have all the bells and whistles. Yes I added a couple things to the interior to make it how I want it but all that crap I mentioned above is what makes driving my truck every day, everywhere and using it for everything possible is worth doing because I love it. Plenty of my friends/ family have newer cars with fancy buttons and live plain lives, I can't even think of how boring that must be. Yeah it's probably easier sometimes but hey I like laughing at girls I take on dates trying to find the "window button" hahah
  11. I was skeptical at first but it looked really good in person B)
  12. Lucky! Have fun dude :wavey:
  13. NO :( ! They're sitting in my backyard getting bird crap on them! Since Brett broke a 44 joint pretty easily I've been looking for a 60 to build because I want to be confident that I can use my skinny pedal if I have to :D I picked up a 24' length of 2x6x3/16 at work today to make rock sliders and cut them on the fancy bandsaw. Just needa make templates for my front to mid frame stiffys and cut it out of my 1/8" sheet.
  14. Yeah I found that out the hard way, ill probably end up selling all my 44 parts and getting a 60
  15. Had a decent weekend at Rausch, didn't break anything and drove home doing 70+ just fine  since Brett broke a d44 joint and bent the ears on his chromoly shafts I'm kinda leaning towards a d60 front now... Here's some pics from this weekend B) Crossing rock creek on trail 13a Made it up crawler ridge in the snow after a few attempts Having the rear lincoln locked def makes a difference One of the guys we went with ended up stuck between a rock and a hard place... Hada winch him off the rock and around the tree It snowed most of the weekend and made some obstacles interesting but we all had fun nonetheless
  16. 35 here today by the ocean and windy as hell! But it's not so bad in tremont PA clear and I'd say about 40° supposed to snow tomorrow :(
  17. Quadratec must've had a 24 hour sale or something and had 37/16.5 and 37/17 both on sale for 150 each so I jumped on that deal! Also I got them in the mail the next day!!! But my iphone4 died so i couldnt post pics so I got a new iphone5 wooo :D I'm driving to Rausch Creek tomorrow and did a couple things to get ready for the weekend, oil change, greased everything and cleaned out the bed and put in my mechanical gauge cluster finally! Changed the oil sending unit and it was good to go! The gas gauge got stuck past full so I hada take it all apart again and then it worked fine :wrench: just a teaser shot ;)
  18. Brett I think you really need a new phone lmao
  19. Cut the old spring perch off and tacked my brackets on last night, still need to cut more out for the lca mount since those need to be about 35" from the outsides of the lower arms. Also ordered brand new 37s :D got a helluva awesome deal on them! they have good reviews for mud rocks and snow and that's all the northeast has. Has some deep sidewall lugs and it's siped already. It also has pretty good street manners but it's a 37" tire I'm not expecting it to be that awesome on the road.
  20. I don't have a wife but my mom doesn't even look in the direction of my garage anymore because there's too much "junk and parts" in and around it. I sold my Camaro last weekend and she still hasn't noticed that it's not in the driveway hahah I'm Gunna have to fill that space quick with another Manche so shell never know
  21. Hahah really? Calm down dude, it's not nitpicking, he was trying to help you out... Also this is the best forum on the interwebz hands down, 95% of the guys here are the opposite of what you claim and the other 5% are probably a little too straight forward for you.... If you really wanna get your undies in a bunch go make a thread like this on pirate4x4..
  22. Me, Cherokee-chief and about 25 other people were friends with are going this Friday. We try to go to Rausch at least 4 times a year. Should be making a trip to MAbell in the coming months. As for the date it doesn't matter to me, I'll probably miss 2 weeks of school and 2 weeks of work but hey I work 50 other weeks out of the year!
  23. Welder/grindmaster/peon at a fab shop. I've made anything and everything possible from army laptop parts to ibeams (w36s) for the freedom tower in NYC. I'd say about 30% of our work that comes in is related to the subway. You guys have some awesome jobs!
  24. Too much skinny pedal plus 4.88s... This is the 2nd driveshaft hahah
  25. Taking care of this today  gotta notch the cast housing for the coil bucket and the truss I made at work. Out of all the build threads I've read on the forums I browse such as naxja and pirate nobody has really posted measurements and what worked for them. Since Cherokee-chief just put in his front 44 I'm making some tweaks to my measurements for better clearances. The coil buckets have to be 36.5" from center to center and I'll be putting my pinion angle around 7-8° since I have a low pinion 44. The passenger upper at 4.5" from the inside end of the coil bucket to the inside end of the ruffstuff UCA mount makes contact with the oil pan at around 5" of lift so I'll be moving mine to around 4.25" so the UCA and the oil pan don't become close friends.
