Maybe put a bumper sticker under where your plate goes saying “if you can read this report it to 911”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Google tile tracker review Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is a neat little chip called Tile that can’t be easily found or faked. It turns on the alarm and has a reverse insert system and a mechanical reversed system for parking. If you pull while the hydraulic isn’t attached, it locks all 4 wheels while the alarm shrieks from inside the steel frame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I won’t be supercharging, but I will be getting a 2.5 from a ‘99 TJ and the MPFI manifold comes with it along with the tone ring flywheel (it came from an LS swap). If I could easily do the harmonic balancer Renix tone ring set up then I could go HO later on but I need 4x4 ASAP as a storm is breaking and hopefully everything is fine with gusts of wind from 50 steady to 70mph like the storm that crushed my neighbor’s place with a 5’ diameter tree. I wish I could drop my 304/727/np219 or AW4 and whichever spare tcase I have kicking around. (Could still be the NP219 if I can get my 1” clocking ring back) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Going later MPFI will help powerwise too and especially if you go HO throttlebody off a 4.0L (if you can stand the noise) with the performance injectors people run in stroker 6 cyls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I recall the park and running lights are on the same fuse, but I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m not sure. I changed the shape of mine with a torch in my Jtruck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I pulled it off first thing so I didn’t pay attention. It’s taken since June to get the septic working here so I can relax a bit between Dr trips for me and the wife. I got the 4.0L working well. It needed a tune up and they filled the motor with ATF instead of oil but at only 107,000 miles it should be fine except the body rusting off around it. Wish I could say the same about the 2.5L in the daily driver. Figures that I found a 2dr XJ with cherry condition doors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fuel and speedometer problem

Same as I’m talking about too. Napa part# ECH VSS110 Dodge used them in some others too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Fuel and speedometer problem
carnuck replied to kook911's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
‘91+ are Electronic speedo and if you used the same transmission you don’t have the sensor it needs but I have installed a ‘91 Wrangler (only one stock from the factory) sensor which has a pass through for speedo cable and EFI speed sensor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Just an FYI, but when I tried to put an AX15 from a TJ in an XJ, the shifter was further forward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
They don’t go down as far and aren’t as strong as the front ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

that little power transmission switch

Post an ad in the wanted section. I don’t know if you’ll find brand new but used are found in ‘87 to pre ‘92 XJs with 4.0L and AW4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
In dash with speedometer and gauges tach? Should only be a bad bulb unless everything is out. If they are all out and the headlight switch isn’t twisted to dim then I’d say bad resistor in the switch or burnt out bulbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first rig was Sarge (current icon) and my parts rig was Louey but never driven till I got Second Louey which is my not quite ready for prime time daily driver. Plans are in motion and changing as I go because I got my lpg system back and my ‘84 J10 will get done too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

4.0 Back of head freeze plug
carnuck replied to 88whitemanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Did you disconnect the exhaust at the 4 bolt catalytic converter flange? If not and you didn’t undo the pipe at the header then it won’t drop enough. I used a flat hook on a dent puller to get mine out but knocking it in first was easier. If the head gasket is very old, then I would consider pulling it to do the plug and make sure the gasket is good at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Can anyone tell me what this is for?
carnuck replied to Ruxus's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I usually bypass it for summer but we have wet icy winter air that allows icing up of the throttle body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It’s the fuel system that makes the HO’s power. The first few years at least of HO cam is just the Renix one with the timing retarded 7 degrees IIRC. That pushed the torque band high in RPM and cut the VE% (volumetric efficiency) to reduce ping so they could get rid of the EGR valve. Result? A little less oomph off the line but that was counteracted by a larger bore throttle body and bigger injectors with reduced timing advance in the ECU (except high altitude rigs). The injectors are sized to waste up to 20% of it’s fuel to run the catalytic converter to get clean numbers low on NOx numbers. Want more power from a Renix rig? HO injectors do a lot, but you won’t pass as many gas stations! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
