  1. My recent daughter in law in from somewhere over there as well. I’m hoping to meet her in person by Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I couldn’t recall if the harness for the ecu was before or after the C101. I know the TCU was because of swapping auto in before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So I get a call and find out an ‘87 XJ is waiting for me to buy next payday. A little bit of fixing and I’ll have 4x4 for winter and the 4.0L swap can be done complete harness and all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. My son wanted to catch a nap and climbed through the back window. I had a mounted platform and bed with an inner tube seal between the cab and canopy which was mounted solidly before the trip. We made it removable for wheeling but had only made the truck 4x4 just before the trip because my J10’s Steering parts were lost by UPS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Here’s another denizen of my yard. That’s a 26 tooth tcase speedo gear next to him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Camper was already towed away. (Probably a meth lab now. Pic is old) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If it’s external slave, it’s tougher to bleed. If integral slave then it can pop apart before the trans is fully mounted. It’s almost self bleeding with the strap on it. Just watch the master stays full. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Detectives are still investigating but it appears to be a chemical or mix, either through the skin or breathed in. An officer who responded to this bunch in another location died from contact with the chemicals plus one of the “suspects” ended up in the hospital by ambulance with a possible heart attack tested positive for the chemicals as well and he has a record for poisoning someone else. On topic, here’s some of the yard art they left behind that is being hauled away by the county.
  9. There is a question but not very clear I guess. Lol. (Jake and Ellwood interrupted my thought) Will the C101 connectors match from 4 cyl to 6 cyl? I know later on I can swap the whole harness but the parts rig runs and I am keeping it for Emergency backup until I have the shortbox daily drivable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have the ‘87 4.0L 5 speed harness originally from the MJ in my avatar picture with C101 connector like my ‘87 4 cyl and I’m considering a temporary swap with that and the 4.0L AW4 I have. (I can drive the AX-4 but my left leg ligaments being torn mean I need to go to automatic manually shifted if I have to) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Amsoil local to us isn’t much more expensive than any other synthetic unless you don’t account for it lasting twice as long as regular oils. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Look up the aftermarket remanded motor to see what years it fits. If it’s not the same, then it may be wired inside differently as well or you could have the body to battery ground missing. Or the arms may be hitting something. I have a rebuilt one that was on mine when I got it, but the screws were cross threaded holding the motor on and stripped out. I took the one off my parts rig and it’s working for now but I didn’t drive in the rain to test it since the new windshield. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I see most pics with my iphone and Brave or google browser with Tapatalk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It’s actually along my driveway but the part in this photo became undriveable just before the Oso slide in WA on 2014 thanks to illegal loggers expanding a legal cut zone after dark, the heaviest rains on record and PUD’s seismic testing with drilled test wells and explosives that likely cracked the “seal” of a historical slide. End result is I can still access and see the falls but it’s not along my driveway anymore. It’s a local community that’s privately owned and some rent out their land to campers because it can’t be built on since the slide is still considered active. I don’t eat a lot of fish and the zone by my cabin is considered above a natural fish barrier (3 falls in a row below and another above) That’s why on the left of the falls is a fish trap where natives were catching spawning fish and taking some upstream and putting others in the fish hatchery. As for camping at my place without being shot, the MJ growers and Meth cookers are a suspicious lot. We have been trying to get rid of them and it’s a gated community since the bridge was put in because access is by a road through private property with security cameras and a remote controlled gate. By spring I hope to be well enough to finish hooking up the water, power and septic so I can rent out space for a tiny home. I had someone stay who was supposed to help me in exchange for staying and they decided they wanted to steal it instead by poisoning me and my wife. It’s not their first try at doing this either. They also used my front yard for a toilet and ruined my cabin and what’s left of my health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Nature is the artist at my place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Me either. It was supposed to go into the Jeep pickup with J20 axles to haul a trailer with cars. It has the Wrong transmission for the AW4 conversion parts though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It needs a head gasket but I’m already into the truck for $1800. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I have an Isuzu NPR with 4BD2TC turbo diesel that needs a home. ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. For the ax-15, go with Redline MTL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It would be cheaper now to make a D44 from a full size Wag work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Trust me that when you are coming down Snoqualmie Pass with a loaded, lifted Comanche with 2 teenage boys in Sunday traffrick that is traveling at a maximum of 55 mph in the slow lane (which is the speed where the shake started) so I was in the “fast” lane doing 60-70 mph to keep the shake away (lane was smoother than slow lane too). Two things happened at once. A slowpoke cut in front of us and slammed on his brakes so I dropped from 70 to 55 and mega wobble occurred (2 of my canopy clamps even snapped loose) and some Russian dude hauling a 35’ yacht with a 1/2 Ton Caddy Escalade passed me on the right doing 80 mph+ with his brakes throwing sparks and glowing white hot. I couldn’t speed up to kill the shake. Couldn’t slow down due to suicidal traffic behind/beside me and my canopy is flapping and scaring the hell out of my youngest son in the back while traffic around us kept trying to slow us down more! Both side mirrors vibrated loose as well as the main rear view mirror fell off the windshield from the shaking. Talk about a white knuckle ride and it was on a % downhill grade! Still think I don’t know what death wobble is? Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. There was a Warn locking hub kit for XJs that was available for only a short time. Probably based on the Ranger manual hub kit that kept snapping the locking switch (plastic) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Filing diameter smaller to re-thread is another option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I forget the pitch, but a thread file tends to fix them or matching a wheel nut 2 piece thread fixer on it. You could take a matching nut and run it through a bandsaw. I had a set of split thread chasers that went away when I thought I was dying a couple years ago. I need to change my current PS pump (it’s WAAAY too much pressure for such small tires) I added about 10mm of spacers to move the later model pump forward to match the other pulleys on my 2.5L because the return hose had a rag or something in it to keep it from feeding oil to the pump from the remote reservoir by the rad. I had no pressure because oil didn’t get to the pump intake and the newer pump interferes with the air filter hose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Dynamic balanced tires only go so far. There is a 55ish mph spot where harmonics of 4 tires comes into play as well. It was explained to me once but I can’t recall the exact reason but it’s like the 5850rpm spot for inline 6s. Power through it and you’re fine to a point. But if you hold it there the harmonic imbalance will rip the motor apart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
