  1. I found a Jtruck one and cruised the second hand stores for cheap toy trucks. Found an awesome one with Big Foot sized rubber (compared to the Tonka I have)
  2. 25 years later, I'm still dealing with the BS and guilt trips she laid on the kids. Should've stepped up MUCH sooner.
  3. Death wobble is in the steering and not the driveshaft. IIRC YJ has a longer yoke. Count the splines and check the diameter though
  4. Haven't played with mine in awhile. Window washer?
  5. Pull the heater fan out and clean the crap out of there. A chunk of leaf is probably stuck in the fan resistor (the thing that gives you the different speeds) which heats up.

Last ones I bought were from http://4wheelpartswarehouse.com store local to me.
  7. Yup. XJ and MJ are the same from the door post forwards (except under the floor)
  8. Say What? I've done that on 3 of them so far. It's thicker than brake fluid so it doesn't leak
  9. Also bad ground in the dash can do that
  10. If it hadn't been for my ex-wife, I'd be retiring out about now.
  11. How about T18A with NP208? (I have one for sale with a running AMC 360 for $500 obo in Seattle) I'm taking it out of my '82 Honcho because I don't plan to haul any loads with it so it's getting a 290 with AX-15 (already have them) since it'll be a freeway cruiser. It'll have an NP208 for now (the adapter is @$100 from Partsmike.com ) Later it will get an NV241 OR with 4:1 low range :brows:
  12. The latest exploits go for the cookies on servers and spoof your email. Those Nigerian and Russian spammers are getting mad that we don't fall for their tricks anymore!
  13. It's not as big a deal as it used to be thanks to ASE oil certifications
  14. They do a VI (Vehicle Inspection) that any RCMP office should be able to do.
  15. Actually, the bell is available new from Der Mopar still. I used to have the part #
  16. If it's not lifted, yes.
  17. They are not all 5 watts though! Saw one guy take out his computer that way in an '89 Caddy..... in 1990 so a new computer was $$$$$$
  18. I kind of wondered about doing this! Cool that it works! Now how about a pic of where the Shift cable comes through the firewall?
  19. Could be first batch of winter gas (I have to change my filter every time they pump us up to 20% alcohol wintergrade because all the CRAP that's in the fuel tanks comes up and clogs everything!)

New spring pads are $20 and you need to weld them in then redo the shock mounts (I used FSJ sway bar brackets from my '73 J4000 I rolled)
  21. Could be wrong tach. As for the oil sender, I use an oil sender socket (1 1/8" but special)
  22. Replace the fluid with cooking oil (Crisco or corn oil) and it'll work till it freezes. (you have to warm it up a couple minutes to shift)
  23. Put the MJ on a tow dolly. It makes life MUCH easier! I've towed FSJs with my MJ this way (but only on dry roads!)
  24. 904 (and 727) has a shallow output so it will work in a 23 spline 231, BUT you could also score a NP208 from a full size and it'll bolt right up, the 4 cyl couldn't possibly hurt it (unless you ran it with no oil) AND it has fixed yoke both ways!
