  1. No pics again, but motor an tranny are out. Now I just need to strip the interior, and then comes the body work. Pics to come shortly
  2. I've dealt with suspensions before, but never long arms. I'm leaning towards a 3 link setup for better trail performance, but I was wondering if anyone had opinions on either. Note I plan on driving it to and from the trail head. Thanks in advance

    Opinions?

I'm definitely still in on the black interior if you get around to it
  4. Yea I'm still lookin, interested in it if ya don't mind looking
  5. If your wanting discs I would go for a later model 8.8 from an explorer, I think 97 to early 2000's. 31 spline axles and factory discs
  6. Finally got pictures working again. This is how it sits at the moment. Motor is on its way out, and just the doors are left on it. Next to come out will be the interior, and any necessary rust repair. Frame is surprisingly clean for a Jersey truck I also scored most of a black interior for the super low price of $20. Needs a few more pieces and a good cleaning, but there was no way I could pass up that deal.
  7. I know its a stretch, but I'm looking for a black dash, and a pillar pieces. Also black hockey stick door panels. I do have a complete gray MJ interior with center console and tilt column if anyones interested. Looking in the North Jersey, PA, NY area, but willing to pay shipping if its not too much. Chris
  8. The only thing I would check on is to make sure the PO moved the perches on the rear axle to MJ width, and didn't just bolt in the XJ axle
  9. While cheap is always a scary word with lifts, a simple coil spacer for the front, and add a leaf in the back will net you about 2 inches. The real question is what is the purpose of the lift?
  10. I have one out of an 89 i pulled yesterday if you're interested
  11. i'd search spring over axle, its been covered countless times, and I'm sure you would find everything you need an then some.
  12. no difference between long bed and short bed leafs
  13. Did you swap in the 44? Because 86's came with a 35 or AMC 20.
  14. I found this one to be pretty interesting viewtopic.php?f=2&t=30585
  15. I would but couldn't really justify it. Moving to VA soon so kinda need the XJ still. I've been talking to a guy on here who sounds like he's gonna snatch it up so it should stay in the forum at least.
  16. I'm pretty sure it is 2.5L + auto = 4.56 2.5L + stick = 3.55 4.0L + auto = 3.55 4.0L + stick = 3.07
  17. I had the money to buy my 92 back http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2366546584.html viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21351
  18. This truck came up once before. It's got 91-92 eliminator graphics, has a bench seat, color matched front and rear bumpers, and it says it has a 4 speed manual which never came with a 4.0l. Looks like someone slapped some eliminator graphics on and called it good
  19. Finally got some work done on it again now that the weather is nice. Pulled the bed and found a very clean frame underneath. Also pulled the 97+ parts off, thinking of going back to the old front end. Next to come out is the motor an trans, then some body work. Will get pictures up as soon as we get our computer fixed.
  20. If I were buying a wrangler I would definitely go for a TJ. But I could never justify the cost of a TJ when an XJ can be had for so much cheaper. I like the ride of an XJ better a TJ also
  21. Might have to do that. I really want those HO parts.
  22. What's the build date?
