  1. When I ran mine, I found a gap next to the rocker panel which then ran right up by the bottom seat belt bolt in the cab. Its kind of a tight fit, but it works, and you can hide the wires very easily.
  2. Nice job, looks a lot better than my attempts at body work.
  3. Looks like they sanded the lip off of the stock MJ flare. I think a couple people have done this before
  4. Well, I'm sold on an XJ, now just need to find one thats worth it
  5. Ya, I know its easy, but I'd rather not have to do much to it. I might bolt in the 44 i got laying around though I found a 99 thats real nice, right around 100k, but XJ's seen to be going up in price compared to when I bought my first one 2 years ago.
  6. Not really. Jim is saying good bye to this single Jeep not all Jeeps as you are referring. I think you deserve the :fool:
  7. Just wanted to be sure. I had an '00 XJ an didn't have problems with it, but I want the 99 for the HP30 for the most part. Thanks for the help.
  8. Think I'm gonna get an XJ
  9. Since my recent KJ thread was getting quite lengthy I figured I would start a new one. All a long I knew I wanted an XJ, but just had to get it in my head. I do know a fair amount of info on these, but the one question I had was with the head on the motor. I've heard its the '00 an '01's that have the cracking head problems, but though I heard something about the 99's also. I found a 99 I'm interested in and just want to double check. I'm sure someone can enlighten me.
  10. Looks like peeling decal to me

  12. I had to laugh at this :clapping:
  13. JK wheels are a different bolt pattern, 5x5.5 I believe. You could run them with adapters. You've probably seen TJ Rubi wheels before, as they carry the same 5x4.5 bolt pattern
  14. Not saying there bad, just not my cup of tea. Have been watching vid's of Patriots off road. I must say I'm impressed with what they can do
  15. I do agree it looks good, but I've driven them an they just feel cheap. An that rubber band transmission thing with no gears doesn't appeal at all
  16. My 92 was 4/23/92 but someone was smart an sold it  Anyway, listen to the man. Were keeping a small niche in history alive.
  17. I don't think I could ever drive a patriot, or compass. I'm really into solid axle jeeps, or ones with at least one solid axle. I guess I could always look into getting another XJ
  18. A diesel would be nice but the 3.7 is a whole lot more common. I don't plan on keeping it for more than a year or a little longer. Once I get a fire fighting job it will most likely be gone. I was planning on doing a few mods to it but nothing crazy. I'm goin to look at it tomorrow an will take all your comments. Incommando, got any pics of your KJ. Pats brothers looks pretty nasty too.

    KJ opinions

Looking at getting a KJ for a daily driver, and light wheeler. Just looking for peoples opinions on them, likes/dislikes. Looking at a freedom edition which I know is just an appearance package, with the 3.7. I've noticed there is somewhat of an aftermarket beginning to develop for these also. Any opinions are welcome, and any strengths an weaknesses would help too. Thanks in advance
  20. I agree, my friend just bought a TJ Rocky Mountain addition. Its got those wheels, alcoas. There pretty nice, I've always liked there wheels. O an the TJ's got a 44 rear :fs2:
  21. Still one of my favorites, not a full tube body but still pretty sweet. He goes pretty in depth too viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10000&hilit=Gold+member&start=45
  22. I got one of the little containers (pint?) I did 1 coat and some touch up an still had half a can. A little goes a long way with that stuff
  23. If only I had a long bed. Think he's a member on here too. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/pts/2065441834.html
