Diesel Conversion, '86 Mj
Comanchepur replied to jimoshel's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
:wall: At the beginning all project are hard but remember it is the time to fix all problems making the job to rebuild this truck. I saw you do not have motor in Comanche take now the time to paint Chassis, Motor Mounts, Front Suspension at the same time to make all new motor electricity and check mechanical performance of the diesel motor like compresion, seals, water pump, radiator, oil and diesel pump, air filter with sensors. Because in this form you have a best way to win time and use correctly the rebuild time and resources to finish the Offroad diesel beast. When you have another photos of the process please post to see how is the project. At the end you finish like this :chillin: with your finished beast. -

:ack: At the beginning all project are hard but now you have the main element to start with a Comanche Eliminator with only 73 miles and stock truck. Planified all repairs use a Budget Plan. Make a estimated for all that you like to repair, make step by step paying total cost of the step. I do in this form and let me tell you when I started my 1990 Comanche have 136,895 miles and never look back to make my dream in real paying cost step by step. You have a great advantage because you know where come from this truck . Good luck and please post photos of the truck . Remember it is hard to find a solid Comanche with low millage.

Hello Comanche Maniac!!!!!!!!!! You explain you have some electrical problems take time and check all connections with a profesional. In specially the principal line down the cabin, it's a group of cables connecting with the original conectors and sensors like temp, oil pressure, transmision temp, exhaust oxigen sensor, If one of this do not receive the correct electrical signal your truck run with problems. Some people I saw change spark plug cables, change the distributor, change cables connections and the truth solutions is checking with a electrical meter all connections to receive the correct charge.
