  1. I'm getting ready to put both upper and lower control arms off of a 99-04 grand cherokee on the front axleof my 89 MJ. What bushing do I use on the upper where it hooks to the axle ?? Its a 2WD. Thanks
  2. Congratulations on a 299. Best I had was around 250 and bowled for years
  3. So nobody knows if a 2000/2001 4.0 out of a cherokee will fit in my 89 MJ using my motor mounts and auto tranny ????
  4. Need to know what the newest year will work in my 89 MJ with 4.0 auto. I put a 97 Cherokee 4.0 in it and has a bad knock. Guy is pulling the motor to see what the problem is. Will a 2000 and 2001 XJ motor work or is a 1999 the newest I can go ?? Just seeing if a motor or rebuilding is cheaper. Thanks for the info
  5. Look at 87Warrior post. Got them to work after we flatten them and rebent. Still was hard to get them to fit and look good
  6. Do NOT GET C2C IF DOING A FULL ROCKER !!!!!! I got them and were a pain to get them to work. Good luck
  7. I have a 97 ho in my 89 Comanche
  8. Thanks for the write up on the 97+ flares. I have a 99 XJ front end and was trying to figure out how to mount 97+ flares on bed. Although the picture of the older ones sanded do look nice
  9. You are very lucky with only a small hole. Mine was so bad the floors needed pans both sides. But now I have rust free cab corners, outer and inner rockers and floors. I just sprayed bed liner on floors
  10. I saw people buying them from Programbo. At around $80 Thank you
  11. I'm lookingto upgrade my injectors on my 89 Comanche, 4.0, auto , 2wd. My 4.0 is bad and replacing with a 4.0 out of a 96 Cherokee. Have seen people saying Volvo, 5.0 Mustang and Neon. What are the best ones with best price
  12. Thanks for helping this old guy out !!!!
  13. About 15 years ago, a friend of mine went to look at a 69 Camaro. Add said blown motor , $1,800 OBO. Got it for $1,500. Loaded it on trailer. Got home and looked under it. Saw the wires on starter not hooked up. Hooked them up and drove it off
  14. I have a 89 Comanche with a 4.0. Bad motor so swapping in a 96 XJ 4.0. Can I use a exhaust manifold off a 96 XJ or do I need to stay with a 89 exhaust manifold. I'm using the 89 intake
  15. I am going to swap engines. Just asking if it will work with the parts mentioned . Also I'm putting an auto and t-case out of 91 XJ in to do my 4wd swap
  16. My motor in my 89 Comanche. 4.0, auto, 2wd has a warped head and block. Can move pistons in cylinder with finger. I know a 99 and older 4.0 will work using my intake, exhaust, valve cover , flexplate, flywheel, distributor, and the newer thermostat housing. So if I use the same parts will a 2001 XJ 4.0 work also ? Reason I ask is because I found low mile good running one they will pull for &350. A member on here said it should. He sounds very smart at what will and won't work. Or would it be better to stay with a 99 or older motor
  17. Ok thank you. Didn't know if I could use the same ones in my 2wd for 4wd swap
  18. Can I use the 2wd ones or do I need to get 4wd ones
  19. Had one in my other Comanche. Leaked when sitting still in rain and snow melting. They are nice in the summer, but never want another one
  20. Got mine at pick your part. 50% off weekend and were only $9.99 for both fronts
  21. Staying with a auto. Yes I'm getting the rest of parts (front alxe, drive shaft, ect) but just asking what years of tranny and t-case.
  22. I'm looking to swap a 4wd into my 89 Comanche. What years of tranny and t-case will work in my 89? Have been told to stay with a late 80s cherokee/comanche because get into a mid to late 90 cherokee will need a computer. Is this so and what t-case is best ? This will be my daily driver
  23. I bought my 89 Comanche for $325 and drove it home. Its a long bed, 4.0, auto with 280,000 + miles. Its getting cab corners, inner and outter rockers and floors fixed. The bed sides were fixed last summer. I don't have a welder so a good friend is doing the body work. I'm up over $550 and will owe more when done. So a rusty truck is very costly to get fixed. Good luck on which every way you go
