  2. In my experience with a '06 GC with the hemi the Commander is smaller inside. I really liked the Commander when it was first released but I thought it was supposed to be a small replacement for the Cherokee. After realizing it was going to be heavy and expensive and BIG I lost interest. I cross shopped both and decided on the GC. I think my old XJ had more usable cargo space in the rear but I manage. I LOVE the GC! I call it a Cadillac Jeep because it has ALL the options. If you won't use the third row for children under 12 then stick with the GC, and ONLY the HEMI. If you want to know what gas mileage it gets with said HEMI 15-17mpg. If she doesn't really like the GC have her test drive it with the HEMI, you won't go back.
  3. I wouldn't turn down a Ferrari, but they are the same to me. The part that I will not drive my Comanche or the Ferrari when the snow flies!
  4. Ok, slow progress but here goes. Managed to get the JKS control arms installed. Bolted the engine and drivetrain together to go in. Added other accessories to the motor. That's all for today.
  5. Now I can see why he likes ORANGE. :rotf:

  7. Thanks everyone!! I am honored to get the invitation. I have worked very hard on the truck. I can't wait to get the new stroker motor in and drive it again. I forgot to post the link to the build if anyone missed it. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17711
  8. I had some time today to paint the engine bay. Tomorrow I will be working on getting the fuel rail and distributor switched over so the motor can go in.
  9. Is anyone else having trouble seeing the pics? :redX:
  10. Can't take credit for finding it, just give credit where it's due. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=36097&p=353518&hilit=stroker+badge#p353518
  11. Just an update to the build: It's been a crazy summer thus far, I have been very busy with house projects so the truck has been on the back burner because I have been gathering a TON of info to educate myself as to what I need to make my stroker motor work right. That means the correct hard parts and what it takes to monitor the engine and tune it properly. I ended up buying a wide band O2 monitor so I can determine the air/fuel ratio. I need to buy a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator and an adjustable MAP sensor too. So here's the wide band O2 monitor I bought. The LCD display is seperate so I am going to mount it under the quartz clock in the lowest part. It will be covered with a piece of black plexiglass so you won't see it until you turn the truck on. Very slick I must say. This is where the truck sits today, I have been slowly working on getting the engine bay cleaned up for paint. I decided to choose VHT's epoxy satin black paint which is good up to 250 degrees and doesn't need a primer. These are the parts I have been collecting for the build. I have had the lower control arms for a LONG time and decided to buy the matching adjustable uppers since I want to do it right after all. The aFe box is the cold air intake which I haven't even opened yet! So after all that I have one finishing touch to put on the truck after I get it running. That will be a well deserved icing on the cake after I get the motor put in. :chillin:
  12. It should work it's way back to normal after therapy. I had a similar issue with the same results, but mine was from a needle used for giving allergy shots. I wondered why they used so long of a needle compared to my other allergist. Now I know, after asking the Dr. why their needles were so long (and my family Dr. telling me it was a damaged nerve because of their practice) the allergist just said this. I know one thing for sure we're going to stop treating you because obviously it isn't helping. No, rather than admit fault he just stopped seeing me. Cop Out My family Dr said it would return to normal in about 6 months! It luckily took only 3 months or so, but it wasn't comfortable!! Good luck!!
  13. Can't wait to put mine on!!!! Always envious of your clean silver MJ.
  14. :agree:
  15. I found the radar video on the storm. These are very impressive, we had one of these years ago in Michigan and it was a disaster for the trees and power. Enjoy if you are interested in weather. I don't know how to post the youtube video directly to the site so if someone feels so inclined please do so and educate me!
  16. You mean a Derecho? Yeah stupid word spanish for straight. Aka straight line winds, or bow echo is what we normally would call it. I think the Weather Channel is trying to use these new buzz words to make a name for themselves. How about a Haboob? O, just a dust storm. I would like to have seen that on radar, this time I watched the Weather Channel for about an hour, they talked about it a LOT but never showed the radar. :hmm:
  17. I have Hell Creek rear leafs and BDS shocks. I called BDS to get info on their line for the Comanche and they were VERY knowledgeable and helpful to get me the right parts. They have a Comanche specific 3" system, full rear leaf packs, front springs and 4 shocks. They also have a you break it and they replace it for life policy. I'm very happy with their parts and service.
  18. Thanks!! I might just change mine when I finally get my motor back in!!!

  20. Now the budget is out the window. Good luck, let me know if you need anything.
  21. Sweet  That's great info guys!!
  22. Does anyone know what's supposed to light up other than the clock on this? The top box is the clock, the second is most likely dummy lights for something and the third???? Better yet does anyone have a PICTURE of the lights lit up on this?
  23. Oops, I guess I missed some valuable information to share. It's a 4.7L stroker with a bored throttle body, '99 intake, aFe stainless header, and 24lb/hr injectors. I don't know if just any exhaust shop can mandrel bend tubing? I need them to install a bung in the downpipe for a wideband O2 sensor anyway.
  24. I want 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust for my Jeep Comanche, short box. I already have the header with the stock flange. What options do I have? Dual would be cool but I have never seen anyone sell a kit. I am not going to run a cat unless it's absolutely necessary, in my state it's overlooked since we don't have to pass any emissions tests.
