Installed the front part ofa RC 4.5" lift
Automan2164 replied to btm24's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hmm. Wonder if a quality lift company such as Rubicon Express or BDS says the same... :rotf: Get a new bar. Rob -
Same here, then I found the tweezers almost off the screen to the right. You have to use those to move the intestines. Rob

Isn't that the sunroof casting the green shade over the seats? Rob

Whatever happened to your expedition plans for Pedro? Rob

My mom just did the same thing (Off the boat German). I think when she was down there she walked Navy Pier and took in the sights. I am not big into ball games, but you could drive by Wrigley field, as its sort of a destination. Museum of Science and Industry has a few cool exhibits, including a German U-boat you can walk through. http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/u-505/ Rob :dunno:

Shelbyluvv needs to stop by... Last I heard, he was still on a toss up between a black interior, and the "porno red" as he calls it. I think he had a few parts missing from the porno red if he goes that route. Rob

Screw the hole in the axle mount. That's something for experienced dudes who know how to do it properly. Even at that, with whats riding on top of that axle (your @$$, your friends @$$, your womans @$$, and possibly other drivers on the road) the $150 for an adjustable trackbar should be a non issue. Don't hodge-podge and cut corners on lifts. Good way to get yourself hurt and possibly others. Rob -
Jake and Ashley are part of the factory Metric Ton Comanche club. Rob

Field museum for adults/kids. Museum of science and industry is good if you bring some kids. The mos&i is more kid friendly... If your into that kind of thing, you could also do the observatory on the Sears tower (now Willis tower) or the 2nd banana tower, the Hancock building. I'm not a real big fan of anything in particular though, the most I get into Chicago a year is usually once for the auto show in Feb. I have another trip planned into Chicago this summer though. My best friend is getting married, and the bachelor party is going to consist of us hopping the train into Chicago in the morning, having a few beers in the city, then take the train back home. The plan is to stop at every station all the way home, find a bar and have a beer at every one. Its a good thing we are the last stop on the line, we might not even know what a train is when we get that far. Rob

Found a couple new to me MJ commercials, so I thought I would toss them up, as well as the others on there for any of the new fellas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ1Q7GeSIA8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8EsG04x89I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsrfCHToTvU Same commercial, better quality, shorter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG-pj1EdM6w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q07mITMbCtA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS_wAtN__i0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMg9H7zorJw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=]Dqsc3B4aAn8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3Q_73vLuUs OH MY GOD!!!! Only thing I don't like about a a teardrop is that they are really only good for sleeping. With a little trailer like the one I put up, it gives you room for the rainy day. That, and a space to stand up on the inside. I would think that other than the nostalgia of it, I would prefer a tent over a teardrop. Kinda of the same thing. Rob :dunno:

Just surfing the local CL, and found this little guy. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/rvs/2408091123.html Rob

Where can I find parts for the Diesel MJ
Automan2164 replied to Rebelfish99's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Try a Winnebago dealer... They put the 2.1 in the Lesharos too, and one of the few remaining places that might have the parts. Rob -
Outside Detroit. We all plan on going to Pete's as a group to help him button up his MJ's, then hit up the sights. Rob

where Can i get a good rear bumper
Automan2164 replied to littlezeeker's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well, JCR USED TO make that exact bumper for the MJ... Don't get me started though. There is a local guy to me in IL who picked up the MJ market for us, and has slowly been mocking up a rear bumper for us based on a local member's SWB. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=29159&hilit=ares+fab Rob -
I know that truck personally... That thing is as one-off as you can get. Its actually an MJ on a J10 chassis... The guy was an excellent fiberglass worker, and the grill/fenders are one piece and custom. As are the rear fenders, and tail light block outs. Unfortunately, the owner passed away 5 years ago now. The Comanche Club actually went through his garage as a group, and had a chance to meet his adult kids. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22454 The truck was sold to a grandson, who actually used it as a truck ( :fs1: ) and last I heard it "Got hit while it was parked on the road". His uncle, whom I work with, doesn't believe any of that. Its still out there, and I hope to rescue it if it ever goes back up for sale. Rob

Any tall MJ owners?
Automan2164 replied to LobsterThief's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Seriously? I have trouble believing this because you had the bench redone, and I thought I saw pics of the seats, and they were on brackets, and had backs. Edit: Rob :hmm: -
