How do you ever read the local CL ads??? We seem to have an overabundance of stupidity lurking on the N. Illinois and S Wisc. CL's. Search Jeep and let the stupidity flow...... Unfortuneatley, I notice all too much. But, the mis-spelling of "Comanche" into "Commanche" Is how I netted the $200 MJ :brows: . Let the stupidity flow  . Rob L.

I am a little too advanced for swiping here, I work for public works, so I steal them before they even get to the pole. :D Hence the reason you can never take a picture in my home bar area with a flash. I have 2 Stoplights, construction horses, cones, flags, fold-away signs, you name it, I got it. Even have one of those $500 solar powered stop signs with the blinking led lights... :brows: Just wish we had a street called "Comanche trail". I know of one in round lake beach, il. Guess i'll have to settle for "longwood drive". That one never seems to stay on the pole for some reason. Rob L.

I live in a pretty big duplex(2000sq ft) with a 6 ft bar, air hockey, and a 7 ft pool table, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths... I'm sure i could fit a bunch of sleepers, have the extra room. Last house in an old development, so there is a big empty street for parking. Eh? :dunno: Rob L.

My never-ending thread of questions.
Automan2164 replied to bigalpha's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
For the A/C.Make sure there is some stuff in the system. Easiest, although not eco-friendly is to use a screw drive to push in the schrader valve on the ac line. Just enough to either get a spray of a/c, or nada. If there is pressure, most likely still good. If thats good, check the compressor to make sure its cycling. Should be coming on and off intermittantly. If thats good, follow the line that leads to the cab. Just before it enters the cab, there should be a crimp where it looks like someone with a pair of pliers gripped the line, and left two flat spots. Feel that area before and after the crimp. That is the fixed orafice tube. Hot/warm referigerant gets forced there, and after a small opening, cools with expansion. If its warm/hot before and cool/frosty after, should be good to go on that end. I will also stress that you make sure your temperature selector blend door is working. We have had a few guys at work that will throw parts and compressors at something only to realize the only problem was the cable going to the blower assy box was broken and wouldn't move from hot to cold. Yeah. When I had my '91 Eliminator, the doors didn't have the fabric in the door panel either. I think it was all in the trim package. Might have not came standard on the MJ... Option maybe? Rob L.

Rude? WTH are you talking about? I haven't been rude to anyone at all.I'm as patient as the next guy and was hoping that someone had a quick answer to a simple question. Instead I get told not to build the sliders without having the rig right in front of me. Did it ever occur to that person that I already had all of the dimensions I need except the ONE I was asking about. Another guy posts a picture of the frame with dimensions, not what I need but I said thanks. What else am I supposed to do? The word thanks isn't enough? Please feel free to delete my post. I certainly won't be back since I'm so offensive. If things were truly meant, and the general feeling I got from reading your post was wrong, please accept my apology. You never did specify that you only needed that one angle-and that you had the rest. The person suggesting having the truck present just knows that its hard to just fab up all of these different things. All other dimensions aside, if you get the angle, you will still need to measure out how far away you are from that angle to find out how long your tube to the frame will be. 2 inches ahead of the angle will be a lot different than 1 foot. We were just saying, if you want it to fit right, its best to have the truck as a guide. Rob L.

FrankZ, sorry we could not help you right away. Sorry one of us even had the frame dimensions and took the time to help you out. Especially after the "Anyone?"... We are here to help fellow members and fanatics, and try to help as we can. But acting rude, having poor comments, and expecting us to give you this angle within a few hours is unresonable. I would have been glad to get a diagram like that. Relax, let us help, stop being so impatient, show some appreciation to those who give you resources, or find someone else to annoy. Rob L.

You can get any renix XJ/MJ from 87-90. Should all be the same. The HO in 91-up is a whole different electrical animal. Rob L. -
Just follow my motto: Old jeeps never die, they just get rebuilt. Rob L.

So, I propose a "time out" for a couple members until they graduate from the 7th grade. I'm tired of wasting time reading this :bs: And trying to read the form. Enough is enough........and this is way over due  Any other comments???? yeah, i agree. the more members we get, the more asshats we get plain and simple. there is no way around that. i thought i was childish until i read some things on here. i say we adopt a 3 strikes and your out program. two warnings, third infraction you are banned. 89eliminator Asshats... :rotfl2: I was more around when were were just a yahoo based group and simple, i do know that the range and number of posts here is hard to patrol. I think it should be up to the individuals to control their language. Its hard for a few to keep track. I just say if someone steps out of line, we should notifiy them on that thread, and have everyone take part in the patrol. If things are abused, actions need to be taken. Rob L.
