Some had the badge, some didn't. Some also had a window decal behind the passengers head. Someone will have to help me out with a pic. Rob L.

VIN? Did it still have the body kit? How much if you sent me the glovebox door with the tag on it? Rob L.

Norbert, I would be happy to help in anyway I can. Before taking a chance with a used carpet, have you tried eBay? There are a few sellers in the states that sell carpet kits for Comanches. I know a few members have tried them, and had decent results... Fitment issues of course, but with a little wrestling, they seem to work out great. Plus, international shipping of a heavy vinyl floor could be quite pricey... How soon do you need it? I know my mother is flying back to Deutschland this winter for the holidays... Maybe I could stuff a vinyl mat into a suitcase and have her deliver it? :D Rob L.

You'd be surprised what little it takes to put out a field fire. On my first "acutal" fire, it was a huge field fire from a fire that a farmer had set to clear his crop. We rolled up in the brush trucks, and I was handed this baby backpack full of water and a pump sprayer, and a wicker broom. Flames were 30-40 feet in the center, with blowing wind... A handful of us found a spot to run through into the black (already burned portion), and hit it from the inside. Couple light sprays with water, and broom the embers onto the burned part, a crew of 10-20 guys knocked it out in 30 minutes... Very impressive. Lately they have been experimenting with leaf blowers, and standing on the unburned side and blowing the flames/embers into the black. Works very good, and is pretty efficient. But good on ya for knocking one down... Rob L.

But what if I want to tell Will I am going to meet him at the junk yard at 3:07 PM, or 4:10? Rob L.

Wee bit more done to the donor drivetrain today, separated the engine/trans and hung the engine on the stand for teardown... And, while I was at it, I took the opportunity to deal with something that has been a PAIN IN MY BUTT since I got it. The Factory plow I have... Its such a large, bulky item. Since I got it, I have just moved it from one side of the garage to the other, and grumbling every time I had to. So, I used the hoist I had out, tossed it in to the unicorn, and trekked it out to the shed... Not as heavy as I remember, but nonetheless, a pain in the butt. So worth it though... I cleared up a bunch of nice real estate for the Farmer. Rob L.

Shoot a PM to MCF90... I sold him a '92 black shortbed roller that was all banged up with no rust. Don't know what he might have had planned for it, but he's somewhat local, and might want to sell it. Rob L.

Any company with money is who-bagged and put on a pedestal on that show... Nothing extreme about it except for the money Rusty's paid to have them put their stuff on the show. Rob L.

Gawd! I would love a (another) rust free LWB! But, I don't have a shortbed to trade... Well, I do, but its the only known Hunter green Metallic Eliminator still in existance... So, yeah... Rob L.

You were the inspiration... On a side note, I did my Friday afternoon stroll through the Junkyard I pass everyday on the way home, and found an in-tact retractable underhood light on a '90 XJ Limited, so I nabbed it, and scoped out the Tan leather seats for Will/Pat... The light was mint. Asked about how much it was, describing it only as an "Underhood light", guy said $5. Came back with it, he gave me the "Oh, one of those... That's not $5." Luckily, the girlfriend's brothers father in-law works the counter, and told me to just take it. Nothing beats free. 8) Rob L.

Next I am going to strip it down, sand down the floors, and prep the inside of the cab to put the interior in... Seal the floor, and soundproof it as good as possible. Rob L.

They stay in there until the people who get them open them up. Its how you can tell if someone has read your PM or not. Once it hits the sent folder, they've opened it. Rob L.

I can see why Jeep has drug their feet on a new truck . . .

Nope, that already exists. Rob L. -
What the hell is that? Brandon Ever seen a picture of those "reel" type mowers that just have curved blades and spin under your own power? Thats a trailer full of them that you pull behind a big tractor. Golf courses and city's use them all the time to cut big fields and open areas. Rob L.

Been a bit since I've updated... But I have been busy. I had planned on getting the cash saved up for paint, but something else came up, and I had to get my hands on it. So, after some planning, and convincing the girlfriend that we needed a vacation to Minnesota from Illinois, this was the end result: And the best part of these! They are from a 2 door XJ, so they have the latch!!! :clapping: And, if I get tired of the Buckets, I have a bench and black mini console in the inventory! 8) Big Big thanks to Ben (Neohic) for the tip on these... He found them in a 2 door XJ up by him, and posted up in the classifieds... Saw I was looking for a black interior, PM'ed me. Ben went back, pulled the whole interior, carpet and all out of the XJ! Even bagged every screw, plug, little trim piece and the change he found while he was pulling everything out... Awesome dude! And if that wasn't a good enough score, he ran into this codger of an old guy at the gas station who had an MJ, and wanted to get rid of his black interior!!! So not only did I have a sweet set of 2 door XJ black buckets and interior, but he fell into all the MJ specific black interior parts!!! Talk about luck! The old guy even tossed in the bench seat for free. The only thing I would need was a black center console to accompany the buckets... JeepcoMJ ended up wanting some parts from me, and just happened to have an extra one laying around... So we traded for each others stuff. After a rush to sell everything that wasn't bolted down to afford the trip, parts, and Ben's labor, I was on the way to Minnesota with the GF... Not wanting to take the ZJ, we took her Corolla, but I quickly realized we were short on room, so something had to go... Tons of room after that! I ended up getting all parts, including the dash, buckets, bench, trim, carpet... Etc... All in the trunk/backseat of Angela's Corolla, which she nickname the "El Corolla" for the trip. Little loud with no seats and stuff in there on the way up, but on the way back it was quiet as ever, piled to the rear deck with MJ parts... We spent a 4 day weekend up there in MN, and took in the sights... Very good vacation... Went to the Mall of America to do the tourist thing, and it just ended up that the "Rocks and Road" Jeep tour was in town, so we checked that out... But, back to the thread. Other than that, not much progress has been made other than nipping away with it here and there... Got the dash out with Pat, and traded him my 4.10 8.25 for his 4.10 MJ D44... So now I have a matched set of bolt in ready 4.10's sitting around for when I pull the trigger. His even has the perches burned in uptop for the SOA if I decide to go that route in the future. I plan on buckling down for the fall, and getting the rest of the truck stripped out, and the cab painted and prepped on the inside, so I can get the interior in. I can't wait. The bright white I have planned for it will look good with the black interior. Ben, thanks again... I know I paid you for it all, but I don't think I can ever thank you enough...                Rob L.

My old supervisor at work (Parts dept for public works) lopped off the tip of his finger on one of these... But, ours was a bit bigger, and a whole lot rustier... :ack: They had the reels off the ground and were trying to fix one of the bearings, when it let loose, and his pinky was right where it sheared off the grass where the blade/edge met. He ended up with gang green, and they had to dig out the infected skin with no anesthetic. Being a pretty tough dude, he bit his lip until he couldn't take the blood and pain anymore... Only to find out the reason they don't numb it is that when it hurts, they are to good tissue and can stop. I am sure that info would have been nice to know at the start... Rob L.

Cannot lay claim to that one Don... I saw it awhile back on the net, and had to post it here... I thought it was great... But, not mine. Last time I got a pumpkin to carve with the GF they ended up rotting on a cart on the garage and oozing onto the floor. Rob L. :ack:

Check the classifieds here... I know someone linked to an MJ in Washington that had a 93 ZJ running gear with the V8. Rob L.

Gotta fly on your own sometime. Can't always be the babysitter. Plus, if it actually did go through, why would I want to discourage him into not making them? Then we wouldn't have known if it would have made it or not. Life lessons. Patience grasshopper. You will learn. Rob L. -

The "Jeep" Logo with a capital "J" is a trademark. I knew that was going to happen well before you tried buying it. Use a lower case "j" and its no longer a trademark. Or, just use Comanche, and omit the "Jeep" part. Rob L. well you would think that when you go to make a T-shirt you would look into them types of things  a t-shirt company should know this. Brandon The website is a third party. They put your image or art on any sort of products, be it shirt, mug, hat... Etc... So if you want a trademarked thing done, of course they won't do it without the express consent of the company that holds the trademark. Rob L. -
