Gave it a bath today. Borrowed the pressure washer from work, and went to town. Morning started early, I suited up in my rain gear from work (I never wear the pants, but the jacket and I have history) so thats why the jacket looks like crap. I got myself all set up in the driveway with a scrubber brush, a green 3M pad, wash bucket, engine degreaser, dish soap, the pressure washer, and a big ol' thing of ice tea for myself. I was on top of it, under it, in it, over it, all over it with the scrubbers, sponges, pressure washer and degreaser. I could be scrubbing that thing for days, and it would still have dirty spots. So I did as good as I could in a day, and I am pretty happy about it. And then it was time to do the underside. Thank god for the rain suit, and waterproof Redwing boots. They kept me warm, dry, and happy. The undercoating was pretty rubbery and soft still, so it didn't like the pressure washer much. I hit it where it would come off easy, but left it where it had a good hold. I plan on re-spraying it with undercoat. I used the full blast of the pressure washer to open up any chips or rust bubbles, and you can now see how far the normal wheel well rust stretched out under the paint. Not too bad, but worse than they appeared before being blown out by the pressure washer. Once I got it that far, I had the neighbor kid come over and hoist the bed on with me so I could put the whole works into the garage again. I think the combination of low light and the camera make it look deceivingly white and clean. I wish it looked like that. I will, however, say it looks better than it did. The whole truck got a scrub from the green 3M pad, and a good rinse/wash with dish soap and car soap. I also took the pressure washer wand, and stuck it down the frame rail as far as it would go. I held it on until the water coming out was clean. Feels good to have it all washed up, and squeaky clean. Now I have to prep it for paint. :( Progress none the less boys. Rob L.

on my other jeep forums (including the little local one) you can upload pics right off of your hard drive. -- no photobucket or flickr needed. that is something i think we all would like. here's an example : http://weekendwheeling.com/index.php While that would be nice, that also costs BIG bucks. We run this pig on a shoe string budget. In order to host pics here, we would have to pay for a truck load of disk space at the server. The way we have it now, you hotlink to the pic, not costing us disk space. Rob L. :D

From another MJ. There is no aftermarket for them, so you either have to pull one off a truck, or make one. Both bars I have are factory Jeep, but they are hard to come by. The longbed one I have is the ONLY one I have seen in person. Rob L.

This is where people in a hurry will have problems. Slow down grasshoppa. In the first attempt, you still have the "v=" in the id. Remove it, and it will show... The second one though, I am betting you just missed a letter in the id. I didn't fix it for you because I want you to go back and edit your post yourself so you can learn what you missed. Devil is in the details on this one. Rob L. ;)

Almost forgot, I can put up any button that a similar board has, that's php like we are... Since I on;y frequent this board, feel free to tell me about any buttons you would like. I am scanning through the thread at the phpBB forums, but its 204 pages long, and I am on page 8. There's paypal buttons, page line dividers... Tons of stuff, but I don't want to clutter the place with weird buttons. Rob L.

Found some stuff I did not know about that's already here, like the "list" function. You can use it to bullet point stuff, or automatically number things. Here's the explanation. http://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode [*:sgqkgqj7]test [*:sgqkgqj7]test 2 [*:sgqkgqj7]test [*:sgqkgqj7]test 2 Rob L.

Sorry Jim, while there are a TON of buttons I am looking through, there is no "Easy" button. Have to go to staples for that. Rob L. ;)

Ok guys, I am going a little crazy on all this new stuff I have access to, and will be adding some new buttons to the available options (by the img tags) I am hoping to make CC more interactive, and fun to play with. I will update this thread as I go, but for the time being, feel free to try them out here, or in the testing section. Currently, there is a youtube button I premiered in another post, and now I just uploaded a align center button, and an align right button. Click the button to bring up the tag as you would, and type between to make the message inside to align to the center or right. (Left will be default, so I didn't see the need to add a left button) I will update with any new buttons. TEST CENTER TEST RIGHT Rob L.

Been at it again. Got the pressure washer from work, and had been soaking the bed bolts. Only broke one getting it off, but the bed is now in the garage, the truck is outside. Also took off the windshield trim, the handles, lock cylinders, spare tire winch, and the gutter trim. Tomorrow I am suiting up, and giving the thing a good pressure washing before it gets too cold to do it at home. Pics: More pics tomorrow with the pressure wash done. Rob L.

TjCz55Md-qA Now that I have been knighted with access to the CC skeleton (Thanks Pete), I added a youtube button. So far, as I understand it, you just use the video id inside the youtube block, rather than the whole url. So, this is the url of the vid I posted: I clicked on the youtube button, and entered the video ID, located at the end of the url, in this case: TjCz55Md-qA So, it should look something like this: (without the space in the second block) TjCz55Md-qA[/ youtube] Try her out! As someone else said, to each their own. I, personally, think they look like crap. Like ricer trash straight out of the fast and furious. Sorry WB. Listen to 87 warrior, and get the amber like I said in my first post. Don has them, as well as anotherjeff. I'll link the pic when I am not on my phone. The ambers look waaaayyyyy better on our old body front ends, and would look especially good on your white truck. Do the right thing. Rob L. -
