  1. There is a local member on the far north side who is gear capable. I'll bring this thread to his attention if he doesn't find it. Rob L.
  2. Or, you could just sell the 4.3 and put a 4.0 in it. And save yourself un-needed hassle. And get more power. And save hassle. And its a Jeep engine. And get more power. Rob L.
  3. Well said. I hope you both have the same feelings towards it now. Rob L.
  4. No problem, although I will add that if you guys want to continue this, do it via PM. That's what they are for, lets not air out the dirty undershorts for the board to smell. :ack: Rob L.
  5. Rob, I realize it looks like it comes out of nowhere. I've had this beef with him for a couple of months. It's off my chest now, and I'm going to let it go. I've been around a long time, and NEVER flamed anyone, I go all the way back to the Yahoo group. Pub is a reasonable place for this, and let's just consider it a "bad seller" thread. Understood. Now that you guys have both aired it out, lets move on. Everyone go grab a beer and sit on the chill out couch. Rob L.
  6. Thin ice. mjtjnj. You just come out of no-where and flame a member. Not cool. We don't need that on this board. I'm not too happy with the name calling on the other parties either... Everyone just needs to chill out here. mjtjnj, if you had a problem with him, you should have brought it to the attention of the mods or contacted him again to correct the situation. I don't know what happened but, it seems like a big mis-communication. Play nice, or I am pulling the thread. Rob L.
  7. I have used this stuff at work, it's called "Atcoat" or "Atcote" rubberized undercoating. Don't know if they are still around, but I used it to coat a hanger for a calcium chloride tank on the back of one of our plows and it turned out nice. I liked the even dimpled coat too. Don't know how strong it is, as we never put the rack in service, but it looks good... If you want, I can take a pic of the can, and the rack tomorrow if I have time. Rob L.
  8. I just may. I haven't decided the route I'm going with mine yet. I was going to build a bumper but never got around to it. And I don't plan on a resto, So we'll see. You're first on the list, Rob  I hope its not a fey. Thanks mang. He's rough, but there's a good truck under all that rust. Rob L.
  9. Homelink in my '98 ZJ is in the visor... Rob L.
  10. Lucky. Hey, if you for any reason decide to sell, I have a certain Hunter Green Eliminator that will need one in the next couple years for resto purposes. Rob L. 8)
  11. Thats what they did when I had a guy hit my '91. They gave me $2000, and let me keep the truck free and clear. I drove it for another year, and sold it along with my first collection of MJ stuff. And my XJ fluid sentinel. :headpop: Rob L. :wall:
  12. Now that is just harsh. I am not on crack and I am not dreaming, my 87 renix MJ has been an amazingly reliable vehicle. Never has it left me stranded and never has it failed to start in it's 300,000+ miles. I'm not even close to being considered a mechanic, I just do it's general maintenance and it just keeps on trucking 100%. :D Now I have nothing against Ford, how could I? They revolutionized the auto industry. Just never owned one though because my renix MJ has never given me a reason to own another vehicle. Sorry, I just had to join the forums to defend my beloved Comanche. Great first post brotha, welcome aboard. Umm, Dave, you see Culsu's sig? I don't think that's a brotha, brotha. I think its another MJ sista coming out of the woodwork. And, welcome to the madness. Indeed a good first post. Rob L.
  13. The lock or latch rod might have came loose at the latch. Get that panel off, and try to reach over there to see if you have a loose rod. A rod not getting enough travel would also be a problem. Have you tried to lock/unlock it with a key? Rob L.
  14. Reading that other thread about the overhead console just reminded me of something that I had heard a long time ago, but never confirmed. I had heard that you could take a late model ('98 ZJish) overhead console with Trip, mileage calculator, distance to E... etc... And put it in to an H.O. XJ/MJ and make it work. I think I was told that if you hooked into the PCM bus port, it would get all the info it needs. So, has anyone else heard this or done it? Don? This seems like it could be something in your area of expertise. Thanks in advance, Rob L.
  15. If its the older style, then yes. They don't need much other than power and ground. Oh, and a wire ran for the temp sensor. IIRC, there is a wire that needs the interior light signal, a power, an ignition, and ground. Rob L.
  16. Nice. Congrats. I'd say that's a pretty fair price for a Comanche. Rob L.
  17. Curse you non rust belt SOB's. When you guys say rusted out or trashed... its a completely different meaning than what I'm used to. Jim, if I were closer, i'd be on that like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. Rob L.
  18. Oh, and here is the thread where that showed up: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1016714 Rob L.
  19. Must not have searched hard enough... This was the fifth image result of a "liberty light bar on a cherokee" yahoo image search... Rob L.
  20. Saw that. Very nice. The Registry thanks you. Rob L. ;)
  21. I went up to $70... I see some others were gunning at the last second too, ending amount is $76. Is it someone here? Rob L.
  22. Almost game time. Rob L.
  23. Can't have just one. Nice find. Now for a 4x4 convo. Rob L.
  24. Can you post a picture? Front, if stock will be a Dana 30, rear could be either a Dana 35 or 44. IF its never been played with. Rob L.
