Ok guys sorry I haven't been on lately too damn busy tryin to make more money. Pics will come soon. I'm still trying to gather up more parts before I get started on it. Hopefully soon though. I've got my other two jeeps takeing my money right now. But I'm at least going to get it in the garage in the next few weeks.

Ok sorry for blowing up on here. Ill try to be more specific next time I post. But yes my truck is a 2.5 right now or was. I picked it up for 300 bucks from Kentucky. It sat for 8 years the motor was seized. So its a bare shell now. I picked up a complete 89 gmc truck for 200 bucks runs great don't smoke drove it the other day. The only thing wrong with it is the clutch master cylinder went out. So I'm getting ready to gut that truck this weekend. So I will have all the wiring computer motor trans transfer case. I have a guy that's friends with someone that has their own driveshaft shop in cali. So driveshafts aren't a problem. I know the 4.0 has more potential than the 4.3 chevy motor. I just can't find an xj for even 400 bucks around here. We have a local jeep club which I'm in. So finding a cheep jeep almost never happens. Someone always snatches it up.

I appreciate all the positive feed back I have gotten. I though owning a jeep was supposed be like a big brotherhood of support. Not negativity. Some of us don't have money we just want to go out and play in the mud and climb things like the rest of you. I work 50 to 60 hours a week just to keep a roof over our heads. So when something cheap comes my way that I can build a good project with I'm not gunna pass it up. I have a 92 cherokee with the 4.0 and a five speed and love it to death. And I have a 02 grand with the 4.7 v-8 in it love it too. So I am a jeep guy through and through. Just don't have a lot of money

I have an 87 short bed 2wd comanche. I just bought a 89 4.3 vortec motor trans and transfer case to turn it into 4wd. My question is does anybody sell a swap kit for a xj or mj? I can fab everything up myself but I was looking for a quicker way to get the drivetrain in and bolted up.
