some 86s will fit the 4.0 some won't.

perhaps the linkage came off the pedal or worse the part where the linkage attaches to broke off.

the frame bracket is replaceable isnt it?

not on my jeep don't worry...... a couple months ago my car (2001 hyundai elantra) started having tranny problems. i took it of the road before it got really bad and got my moms old 98 elantra. anyway these are the symptoms: at idle there is a rattling/clunking noise coming from the transmission that gets faster with rpm. sometimes while driving it will let a sudden snap out of the transmission, no jumping out of gear /increased rpms just a sudden pop then back to normal. and lately afer moving forward in 1st gear when you shift to reverse it will make the above mentioned sound after you move a couple feet. my step father told me it may be a loose or cracked flex plate but i want to be sure before i tear it apart. the car is a 2001 hyundai elantra 5 speed. i know its not jeeps but i know theres a couple machanics on here that might be able to help. thanks in advance

is it a metal or plastic tank. on my 93 bayou its plastic. so you could likely plastic weld it.

agreed. if thats as rust free as it looks never take it in the salt

swore at it. did some more floor/frame work. not really pretty but its strong.

always check for rust. check the frame between the cab and bed, and around the rear spring hangers. and check your floor boards and around the rear flares,

to expand on 64chyenne's post. "milky" looking oil = bad(water in oil check your seals)

its doing it for me too . i use google chrome. i do find it quite annoying
