if you're adding 2 in. spacers, the factory bolts will be too short anyways, so you'll have to get new ones... 5/16 x 3 or 3&1/2 inch bolts should work for replacements, wherever you get the shocks from should have a selection of hardware...

mine: '88 shortbed, was a 2wd 2.5/ ax-4 truck, now i'm about 3/4 of the way through a 4.0 and 4x4 swap... bought it in '07 with 98k on it, now it has 116k and change
-
you talking about the sidemarker lights? got mine on fleabay for less than $20....
-
i get to see it tomorrow! lol we're bringing the first couple truckloads of stuff over there
-
gonna be in RI anytime soon? :rotf: i've got one sitting in my garage, it needs rings but as far as i know the block is still good... was dd'ing the mj with that motor in it before the rings let go...

i put 265/75/16 kumho road venture a/t's on my fullsize chevy a little under a year ago... theyve been real good to me so far...

sounds like a slave, but could also be a master... if the trans bellhouse is wet with fluid and it leaves puddles on the ground, it be a slave... if it leaves no puddles outside then the master could be leaking onto the floor of the truck, and the main fuse block which can make for all kinds of other electrical problems if its been leaking long enough the chew up the plastic...

i swapped 4d buckets into mine.... i don't really keep anything behind the seats tho save for a sweatshirt and a bottle of brake fluid to fill the clutch m/c up every so often, which i don't even need anymore cause i swapped in a aw4.. so the non-folding seats don't really bother me, but it would be nice to have the option

should be battery, block, starter, and there's a couple that attach to the left + right inner fenders.. also the tailight/fuel pump ground behind the taillight.. those are all i can think of...
-
looks like mine.... if it actually sells for 10k i'd have to think about selling mine... lol. also, isn't the "jeep" on the hood backwards?
-
dmv for sure! down here it has 4 lines, but almost always only 2 people working them... then 2 more people eventually shuffle out and you're thinking "cool things will move now" but no, the first 2 go on break! if you don't show up 1/2 hour before they open you'll be there all day. i made the mistake of getting there at 10am one day, and i pulled #372 and they were on #60. i left and came back at 3pm and they still hadn't reached my # yet!

i've had a curve 8310 for almost 2 years now, and it's been real good to me.. not a huge fan of the tracball though, seems like every 4 months i have to replace it cause it clogs up with crud, and cleaning it in alcohol only works so many times. i have a pearl as well that i use as a spare, and thats ok too, but i hate the old style keyboard with 3 letters for each #.. i'm due for an upgrade in december, and i'm thinking about giving the new torch a go..

sounds like a loose battery cable.. check all the connections at the battery, block and starter and make sure they're all snug... if that fails, the battery could be dying. usually if that relay goes bad it won't start at all.

Pulling engine/tranny/t-case all as one unit...
WBKrazy replied to KMAPRO's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i pulled my 2.5 and ax-4 out as one, but when i put the 4.0 and aw-4 in they went in seperately... guess i just didnt trust my harbor freight engine hoise to carry all that weight at once... :rotf: -
anyone have a link to a catalog for them? i'm not looking for jeep ones, i'm looking for a fullsize chevy.. a '95 4x4 1/2 ton w/a 350 and a 4L60E auto, to be exact....
-
i don't believe the underdash harness is exclusive to the ax-15.... one from an auto jeep will also work
-
i always thought they were cool... and you're guaranteed to be the only one on your block to have one.... :rotf:

it's cool... it went well, we got a 95% of the drivetrain swap done.. i need to get back down to the garage and finish it off, but a shoulder injury, a sick grandmother in the hospital, and a million other things have kept me from doing so.. when i'm able to work on it again, i'll definitely let you know.

fleet mechanic for coca-cola here... just hit 5 years this year, got a 3rd week of vacation time good pay and bennies, and we're a small facility (not a bottling plant, just a satellite warehouse) so we have a small fleet and there's only 4 other techs that work with me... i fix the semi's mostly but also wrench on the cars, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.

it's amazing how much stuff we amass in our lives... in 2000, i was fresh outta high school and moved from mass to ohio, and just about everything i owned fit in the back of the isuzu pickup i had back then.. 2&1/2 years later when i moved back, i needed a 17ft. uhaul box truck to bring it all back :rotf:

where on the cape do you plan on staying? lots of cool stuff to do depending on what area you're in... the canal is cool to see, and there's a bike/walking path that runs the whole length of it... lots of beaches, and tons of touristy stuff... i'm pretty sure there's a campground next to the canal, but thats the only one i know of as ive never camped down there...

we got about an hour of light steady rain and a little thunder and lightning

i just did mine, it really helps if you loosen ALL the bearing caps.... with them all loose you can pull the crank down a tiny bit... i tried for a while with only 2 caps loose, then i loosened them all up and had the upper seal out very quickly.. you shouldn't have to pull the bolts all the way out either, just enough for the cap to slide down an inch or two... just remember to retorque them all afterwards
