  1. I beleive you will need new carriers. You can't just grind on a carrier. it is balanced and when you grind on it that will change that. Also, if you have any flaw in the carrier left from the grinding that will only give it a place to crack and break.
  2. I just went through this over the last four(3 of 4 over 100 degrees) days here. My Jeep would run hot only on the road. If at idle it would do OK. If the clutch is tighter are you talking about how it spins? It should be loose unless it is hot. When you spin it cold it should spin about 5 times before it stops as a general rule. Now after replacing mine, it runs right at 190-195 all the time even in 100 degree heat w/ A/C on.
  3. Looks to me like you need offset BJ with the camber you have.
  4. I posted the pdf parts lists for our trucks with diagrams to a ftp site. If you need them I can PM the addy. MV I sent you the info in an email.
  5. I have the parts schematic on pdf files for both. Not sure how I could get them to the right folks.
  6. Pat I have a 33x12.50 dunlop mudrover I was using as a spare if you need a 5th for your rig. it is already mounted on a 15x8 black steelie with 4.25 back spacing. Let me know if you might need it. I am getting ready to do some serious ebay and CL to clean out my shed. wanted to give you first right of refusal.
  7. In our area if you tell animal control that you think they might be rabid, they will bend over backwards to get them out of there. Might be worth a try.
  8. I did mine and so did mjeff87. This is what I did. I have cleaned up the cut since then but it matches the bumper line and I think it flows better.
  9. The sickness is getting worse. Hey Pat, you going to be around this weekend. I will be in D'ville. I am going to Busch park sat afternoon I think. I will look for you while I am on the way in.
  10. Really sweet work. When are you coming up to VA to do mine????? I could never do that good.
  11. This is a conversion kit. It converts a regular wheel to a beadlock. the ring he is talking about does just bolt to the inside of the rim. you grind away the pain/powder and weld it in. this is where the outside lock ring bolts to.
  12. The 4 has an additional sensor which will increase the idle when you go into the lock end of your turning radius. you will need to address that.
  13. I should be able to find you. If you are walking then you will stand out.
  14. no. yourself. Little $$$$.
  15. Jeff glad you made it back safe and had such a drunkenly good time. I am soooooo jealous. Wahoo, when you are at the race look for the guy in turn one in the yellow and white ambulance wearing a blue smurf suit. that will be me. sitting in tthe rain waiting for some racing. I will join you and jeff when the wheeling or wrenching comenceces in May or June.
  16. You could save a ton of time and get some stuff here. http://awshifting.com/index.html They have the whole kit. You can do your bit of customizing with their stuff as the 'meat & potatoes'

  20. That looks sweeeeet. Now I have something to keep an eye out for in the yards.
  21. You need to address the cooling system differences. as well as the fuels pump.
  22. you need to get 2000 XJ motor mounts for the block. The TJ ones will NOT work.
  23. they both should have hooks in the corners. use the straps on all four of them, bed to bed, that should work well enough with the clamps to make you feel good about it.
  24. I just did it. I can post up the plans if you like. It will just be a week or so until I can pull it off to measure it.
