Pulled the carpet to clean it and the floors are in good shape. Also put down A coat of rust seal and fluid film to protect it in the future. Installed the four-wheel-drive shifter and pivot point for the linkage while the carpet was out as well.

71k mile engine out of a 97 Xj cleaned up and installed along with a 91k mile aw4 . New water pump , thermostat, alternator , Transmission lines , DEI heat protectant, new fuel injectors . $800 of exhaust parts installed too . New converters (3) , new o2 sensors, gaskets , muffler / tailpipe. Also installed a 0630 to 0331 exhaust adapter and will be using a k suspension kit with a viper coil to eliminate the ignition rail

No , not that big of plans lol. I plan on leaving it 2wd and installing the engine I picked up last year along with a sprintex supercharger. I don’t plan on driving It in the winter , just too clean . I was going to use it in my other Cherokee I purchased years ago , but I have a 22k mile engine to install if that one ever fails .

Picked this 2000 up today . I do have some big plans for this one , but I have to finish 2 other projects before I can even consider doing this one . I’m the second owner , this came up from South Carolina last year .

I have a 97xj motor /trans/tcase that has only 75k on it . I’m wanting to see what all I need to install it in my 01 that I just bought . I already purchased the parts for the viper coil modification but I’d rather not use the 00/01 exhaust manifolds and precats if possible. Can I just use a 98/99 ecu and the 98/99 engine harness so I can only have the 2 o2 sensors and one catalytic converter? Is there a legality issue ? We don’t have emissions testing around my location thanks in advance.

No more squatting, new leaf springs helped out a lot. Also hung couple fenders and got a Hood in the same color.

It’s Probably the Switch/sensor on the proportioning valve triggering the light. I think there’s a procedure to make the light go off ( that’s if you do have enough brake pressure) . Simone else can chime in on that ..

Did you grind/file down where the pushrod makes contact with the switch?

2wd 163k miles , decent paint / body , no engine. The person I bought it from took the engine/ header panel / fenders / bumpers and hatch and used them on his girlfriend’s RHD Xj that had a rod knock . Only rust issue is the driver rocker panel. What am I going to do with it ? I have no idea lol . One idea is replace the body panels he swapped out and throw just an engine in and keep it 2wd , or convert to 4wd while doing the engine.

There are a couple mopar TPS on eBay , I believe the numbers are 33004650

Four bolts and the bumper is off. Even if the bolts break they are easily replaceable. Then you don’t have the risk of over spray. But if you want to paint with the bumper on .. sliding several pieces of cardboard around the bumper ends and taking the tailgate off will allow you to spray it on while on the vehicle

Check your TPS and ohm your transmission solenoids to see if they are within range .

Top sensor is auto , bottom is manual . you can use an automatic sensor on a manual truck , the 4 wire plug just won’t get used

That’s because you aren’t looking at the 4600 shocks
