  1. Don't get your hopes up , most places that say they sell comanche specific parts normally don't have anything .
  2. Has anyone used plates like these^^ ? What kind of modifying ( if any ) needs to be done ? I'm staying SUA and these are holding me up from finishing bolting the axle in place and being able to move the truck . Thanks in advance .
  3. I don't have the actual plates that I will be using with the 8.25 , so I can't confirm that there is a place to mount the shock bolt . That was my intent in asking if I could use two of the same side plates . Your plates in the video are the same as what I have and I don't like the fact of elongating the holes on the plates and having very little material left . The d35 tubes are considerably smaller than the C8.25 .
  4. Thanks for the link Don . What I'm wondering is ( since I can't find the other plate ) are the plates a mirror of each-other? The seller on eBay has two of the same side and I was seeing if I could adapt one to fit the other side . Or it would be nice if someone had a pair to sell ...
  5. It's had a swap done , you can see where the c101 mounting bracket has been removed directly below the HO sticker . If there is still a sticker on top of the ECU that will give you a ballpark as to what year swap was done .

  7. In addition to the above , another idea is to use a dual terminal battery ( top / side post ) . That would relocate and hide the secondary cables and also keep those large cables from the hood . This is assuming you haven't done it yet ..
  8. That bridge is on route 25 right ? I think I seen it when I visited last month .
  9. 88 Mj Swb with metric ton springs . As the title states I'm looking for the leaf spring retainer plates where the ubolts run through . Or I would also take the newer 91-92 plates that are designed differently . I'm switching from a d35 to a C8.25 , I know I can probably enlarge the holes to make it work but want to just replace the plates . Let me know what you have and thanks in advance !! Here is a thread showing what I'm looking for ... http://comancheclub.com/topic/45659-rear-axle-shock-mounting-plate-question/?fromsearch=1
  10. You're going to have 3 holes that need covered . The two you referenced and also the one on the cowl panel . Being that the metal is relatively flat you're probably best off just making some patch panels and riveting / welding / bolting them in . To my knowledge I don't believe those delete panels are sold anywhere.. Here's a pic to reference the holes .
  11. Maybe if I was taller . I have plenty of room to spare to slide the seat back as it is now .
  12. Private seller that has some parts that he's kept for years . I'm working on trying to get some more parts from him too .
  13. Except 67 olds back glass trim that someone's willing to sell , sorry Troy .
  14. Comanche specific tool box / gun rack . Anyone have one ? It would serve a purpose for when I go to the shooting range because when I transport my guns they need to be locked seperately from the ammo .
  15. Great deal , someone buy this ! http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/5547578447.html
  16. Ok now I'm looking for one complete running board , doesn't matter if it's left or right . Thanks in advance .
  17. 1st pic ( cargo lamp ) 2nd pic ( speaker ) 3rd pic ( harness for 4wd / floor shifter illumination ) .
  18. Mirrors yes ( depending on which style you have) . The xj has a hand parking brake as to where the Comanche has a foot brake , so no . The parking brake cable can be had for less then $20 at your local parts store , and it's brand new . Youll get more response if you put your questions in "Mj tech" Edit : I see you made two posts , disregard .
  19. This is listed as a jumper , part# 56003160 . http://m.ebay.com/itm/NOS-OEM-Factory-Original-AMC-Jeep-Wiring-Harness-56003160-/111964909448?nav=SEARCH Maybe someone can confirm if this works or not .
  20. If you end up buying the seats , here's the bottom cover . I seen the top somewhere but don't remember where . http://m.ebay.com/itm/88-89-CHEROKEE-LEFT-FRONT-SEAT-CUSHION-COVER-VINYL-NOS-/280671034900?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
  21. Any idea what brand of oil pump or oil pan you have ? In addition to the above advice you may have issues with the oil pan not being able to clear the oil pump if the oil pump is indeed a high volume pump . The pump Is right by where your leak is at ..
  22. The cab corner numbers are 57000858 / 57000859 , I'm not sure on the rocker numbers . To the best of my knowledge I don't think anyone has new cab corners in stock anymore .
  23. Sorry for the lack of updates as I haven't had much time to work on this after starting the new job in February . The 95/96 xj booster is installed ( no pics but it has been done many times over lol) . My brother got married on the 19th of March so I got to spend that week in Colorado at his house . While I was there I was able to meet up with Yellaheep ( who I bought this truck from ) who didn't live far away from my brother . Yellaheep is a great person and we went for a ride to his storage place in style with the SRT 8 Grand Cherokee ( it's fast !!) I was able to look through his stash of quality parts and was able to purchase a grey leather wrapped steering wheel and a shifter boot ( I had limited room in my luggage lol) I would recommend buying from him as his stuff is as described . I tried to make it to Jimoshels place too but time didn't allow it . I also picked up some power window wiring , limited dash speakers ,limited door panels , rain guards , OMESD40 steering stabilizer and OME60052L front shocks . Started to clean the xj 4.10 8.25 rear axle , I know I have to move the perches and remove the shock mounts ,but I wanted to see if the flat or semi flat paint looked better . I think the semi is the winner .
