  3. How do they do that? I think in my state it would be the Department of Motor Vehicles, not the State Police, but I'm curious as to how different jurisdictions handle it. My local highway patrol barracks does inspections on salvage or rebuilt vehicles , been there many times when I worked at the local body shop . Being I have the title with the VIN from my truck and the receipt for the interior with the VIN written on it from the JY showing it's not stolen , they'll just swap the plate over . We had to do this on vehicles that the dashes were ruined from airbags and or accidents .
  4. Here's possibly a dash for you ... http://comancheclub.com/topic/49743-black-interior-trim-pieces-maine/?fromsearch=1 I won't mess with the vin at all , I know better . The local highway patrol barracks will take care of the vin plate for me . Thanks for the advice .
  5. You said you checked the lower radiator hose ? Does that mean you have the "spring" that goes inside of it to keep it from collapsing ? Have you ever used any stop leak ? Or has the antifreeze ever looked like sludge ? And was the old radiator thicker core than the new one ? Sorry for 20 questions ..
  6. The cluster will be going in my red truck because it has the tach and the one in it doesn't . The one currently in it will get taken out and I'd consider selling it , but it may be a while before I do the swap as I need to find a drivers door panel ( or 2 carpeted ones) a passenger seatbelt, headliner and would prefer buckets and a full console ( which like a dummy I sold last year ) . I know you're joking , but I feel it's worth what I paid .
  7. I got more than just the interior and it was a package price , $300 . I also got a pair of tail lights , drip rail mouldings , rear slider seal and window clip , renix A/C bypass pulley , bell crank linkage and throttle body to MAP hose .
  8. not all of those stickers actually have information on it. 2 of 7 of mine still had the ink on them All of the Mjs and xjs I've either had or seen at the junkyards ( a lot ) have always been readable . But I do understand that they can be painted over or removed . I'd put money that the one on that truck is readable .
  9. The lower dash piece has a hole from a switch that one of the PO's installed , which is a shame because it has no cracks whatsoever .
  10. Instead of running the VIN you can look at the emissions sticker on the firewall and that will tell you the year , unless someone has gone through the trouble of swapping the sticker out which is very unlikely .
  11. Here we go .
  12. While on the hunt for a 4:10 Hp30 axle I came across this .... Edit : photobucket isn't working for me ATM , will upload pics once it works
  13. Bell crank linkage , relay cover and clips .
  14. Nice !! But I don't spy a gas tank door ? Edit : I see you said it's and old pic , my fault .
  15. If you want to reinstall the a/c condenser , place the condenser on the ground (hoses facing up ) , then with a large piece of wood covering the finned portion , stand on it . It will straighten the condenser good enough to reuse if not broken or just for the time being to keep the crap out .

  17. What a game!!!
  18. Got to go with the Home team , Cavs all the way !!
  19. Factor the springs sagging from 20 + years , the longer shackles ( how much longer? ) and that the new leaves are an inch of lift and they need to settle as well , It seems possible . I don't claim to be a lift expert but I had a similar experience , My 3/2 MT rear springs gave me 3+ lift without changing anything else .
  20. An inch lift from what you had or from stock factory 2wd height ?
  21. Instead of a SYE you can go with a 96 and newer tcase that you can pull the rear shaft on and being it's sealed no ATF will leak out . Driveshaft lengths : http://comancheclub.com/topic/18925-looking-for-driveshaft-lengths-of-stock-trucks/
  22. Thanks Rockfrog , I used paypal so I'm guaranteed .I will get my money back ,that I promise . I'm just trying to get this truck drivable by Thursday for Bantams jeep Festival . If all else fails I might try to adapt the d35 plate to work until I can find the correct one .
