Hey Kelly, was that picture of your brothers TJ taken at Tuttle? Lots of very nice "other Jeeps" here. Keep them coming!
-
I love the Ravines as well. They are my second favorite factory Jeep wheel, right behind the Rubicon Moab :D Truck looks sharp. Now get some rear flares :brows:

You have a very nice TJ Wade! Have you ever had any cooling issues with the EPi9.0? Mine likes to run HOT when going down the highway at 75mph in 100 degree heat since I installed the EPi. New pump, coolant, and t-stat... Maybe time to pick up a Griffin or the like :ack:

What bothers me is the "factory split bench seat" in the description :help:

Obviously, as a Jeeper it is impossible to own only one Jeep. Plus, I have seen many threads here at Comanche Club where we often times reference our 'other' Jeep. So why don't you post your 'other' Jeep so we can better understand where you are coming from. Here, I will start: 2003 TJ Rubicon I bought this Jeep in December of 2003 at a salvage auction. Had 12K miles on it and still had the new car smell. It also had 2 rods through the oil pan and 4 rods with beautiful arcs in them. Rebuilt the 4.0 (should have stroked it :fs1: ) and the rest is history. It was claimed to have had 'flood damage'....my guess is the new rubi owner couldn't bear the thought that he ruined his $35,000 toy :rotf: It now has 98K miles on the chassis. The Mod list: - RE 3.5" springs and Front trackbar - JKS Control Arms, Rear trackbar, Quicker Disconnects, and Brake lines - OME Long Travel Shocks with Terraflex shock relocators - 1" PA BL - Cooper STT's (315/75R16) tires on stock Moabs with 1.25" Spidertrax Wheel spacers - 5.13's - V8 ZJ tie-rod upgrade - Jeep Medic Tummy Tuck and Engine Skid - Superwinch EPi9.0 Winch on a Rokmen Winchplate - Rokmen differential covers - Rockhard 4x4 Sport Cage - Viking Fastback Soft top - Dual Filter Cowl Intake (aka Macs CAI) - Olympic Rocks Bumpers - AtoZ Sliders - Bestop spare tire carrier with Hi-Lift attachment - Kilby Steering Box skid - Uniden Pro CB with a 3' Firestick - IPF H4 headlights - Tom Woods CV DS - Rugged Ridge 7" Flares - 6000K HID long range accessory lights (now on windshield brackets) - RB1 Factory navigation radio with Ipod Adapter and Bazooka sub in the factory enclosure - Viar OBA with 2.5gal tank and in-cab relay trigger and gauge Waiting to be installed: - Vanco 16" Big Brake Kit - Rokmen gas tank skid The Rubi and MJ fill my Jeep stable. However, my fiancée is looking at Grand Cherokees and Patriots now...

Ha, some interesting desktops folks have here. My old best friend (rip) is on my box: Image Not Found

Wow, good luck with the recovery! ...but seriously, how's the half door? I am always surprised how heavy the TJ full doors are. I would say they are comparable to the MJ doors!

I went 3 times one spring when I lived in Vail. Make sure you take a lot of water this time of the year.

You found the right place. Welcome! Hope you have had a tetanus shot within the last 10 years...

Gah, I am so jealous. It has been months since I have had the Rubi in 4lo. Nice pictures. Looks like it was a good day.

Google: Nutter Bypass Made my 90 4.2 run a ton better for close to nothing. Also cleans up the engine bay. Biggest concern is frame rot around the shackles and rockers/cowl/fender. I loved that Jeep and would still have it, but I found a killer deal on a salvaged rubi in 03.

Chrysler is pretty consistent when comparing new and old model changes. The distortion, color variation, and genuine lack of coherence make me believe that is a photoshop. Even if it is a genuine publication, that rear driveshaft is waaayyyy too long, even for an Unlimited Wrangler.... Maybe this is something they are testing the waters for their 'truck' concept. I really doubt they would ruin the Wrangler name with IFS.

I don't get it? Its just some dudes facebook page. :dunno:
-
Yeah. And willys are being built in India. Rob - my jeep history calender does not mention the last day of the MJ.

In 2001, Tuesday marked the ending of a 17 year era. On 6/22/2001 the final XJ rolled off the assembly line. Let's have a moment of reflection.

Jeep teases with idea of re-entry into pickup market
87Warrior replied to terrawombat's topic in The Pub
Bah! Don't waste any time/money on a TJ Brute. Besides the cool factor, it has absolutely nothing going for it. Checked on out in Moab when I lived in co. A really cramped cab with a unless bed. After seeing the brute, I bought an MJ 6 months later. Its a much better platform for form and function. I think the old gladiator JK based pickup would sell like hot cakes in the morning. I remember suffing forums around 2001 when the Rubicon concept was gaining publin ground. Granted a few enthusiasts had been trying to convince the designers at Chrysler to build a rubicon like package since the 80s. Everybody said it would never be made and that DC could not engineer it to work. Isn't the Rubicon the best selling Jeep theses days? Hope they realize, that if done right, a Jeep pickup would sell like nothing else. -
Nope. The only thing I found in my glove box was a face plate box a MO state inspection.

Wow, hope the wind keeps the ash/smoke at bay. Nothing worse than being stuck in a draw or lower area that has filled with smoke. This has been such a wet spring that the two dry weekends we had, everybody burned their pastures. I would guess that 85% of the pasture land was up in flames at one time, with no wind. It was terribly hard to breath and see. Was weird to spend a day buring our pasture, then leave and never feel like the fire was gone. Jim, better hose down the MJs!

Need new Seat Belts?
87Warrior replied to streetjeep2.5's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I was thinking about replacement belts yesterday. What is the general rule for belt life? 10 years or 1 accident, which ever comes first? A few years back I recall reading a post on some Jeep forum about seat belt life and the fabric properties/elasticity. Let us know how those belts work. They look good and look like they would work well for the MJ. -
:hmm: What magnet? They didn't send me any magnet with my order.

So 4x4 is optional  Welcome to the club. I do not have any leads on a truck for you, but I would suggest expanding your search distance. Consider KC, St Louis, and OKC as options as well. If I happen to run across anything in the KC area, I will pass the info your way.
-
... and if you happen to have two of them, I would like one too. Obviously blackdraft gets first pick if any show up.
-
Man, what a steal! Welcome to the club. And a fair warning, I have found the MJ to be far more addictive than any other Jeep.
