I'd post 25 and settle between 2250 and 25 hundred. BTW, it is a nice looking truck, lots better than many that have been up for sale here. (for the price) -

not sure what you mean ''won't turn'' do you mean that they are locked up or no power getting to them, and how do you know this? -

I know this is all over but I Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I have a chisel/punch set from Craftsman, it has a 1/4" cold chisel in it, used it at least five times to knock out/break out, pilot bearing/bushings. Just broke them into little pieces and pulled out with needle nose pliers. Would I ever try any of these other methods? Naw that would be too much work, especially when I know that I can get one out in about 5 to 10 minutes every time. The most effort is finding the chisel and hammer then climbing under the truck, the banging is the easy part. I feel sorry for all of you who go through conniptions getting one of these out when it is actually pretty easy. -
BA10 to AX15 swap...covering all my bases

You mean the plug for the back up lights don't you? As for the linkage, don't forget to get the part that is bolted to the tranny tunnel you will need it. you'll have to pull the carpet up from the passenger compartment to remove the 4 bolts holding it on. IMO, if I can get away with it I just cut the carpet in that area, much easier than pulling seats and trim. -
Nothin special, just ordered for a 98 with garnish. Thats how it was delivered.

We learn from our mistakes, sometimes those mistakes just suck more than others. What an expensive learning curve, especially when it could also have been the cost of a life.

:agree: I've always wanted a lifted/modified Eagle. Maybe more rare than an MJ?

Why leaf springs in the front? Are the coils not a doable set up, or would stock/coils be a step backwards with the FSJ axle? Are the FSJ axles doable with a coil spring setup? Reason I'm asking is I have a line on a FSJ 44 for cheep/free.

Got a pic of your engine compartment? You said dash and 4.0 from a 95, that probably means HO, then you would need a ECM from a 95 Cherokee. Do you know if it is an HO conversion? I would assume a conversion of some type because the 4.0 wasn't available in 86. Check all your fuses, relays and grounds to help eliminate possible causes of your no start situation.

Congrats Darren, good to see you back with a beautiful truck. NV My 88 Chief has blue interior. The 87 Sportruck has black interior.

do you have emissions inspections in your neck of the woods? If all the vacuum lines are removed, does that include the charcoal evap/vent canister and what would a person do about the fuel tank venting?

Thought the same thing on the GFs XJ, turned out the cat was toast and all the guts were rattling around inside it. -
Quote: "It isn't that I am afraid that I'll want to go back...it is that I will be taking a grinder to my freshly-painted truck. Plus I'll be dropping another few hundred dollars on a windshield to replace a perfectly-functional windshield. Had I thoight of the windshield issue before, I'd have dealt with the tabs BEFORE it went to paint." BTW I see you have a garage...(could warm the garage and gasket sealant to make removal easy) myself, I would remove the sides and top of the old WS glue/gasket with the HF tool, then cut the bottom with a bicycle cable as seen in this other DIY post: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19487&hilit=slider+replacement Or let the pros do it..... Me, I'm short on funds so I got a brain that lets me do things cheaper in cash but usually costs me more in the long run with time. Indian injunuity!

This is my DIY: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32365 Worked out OK, only difference I will do next time is to not be cheap and spend the coin for automotive grade quick cure sealant. (took a long time for the urethane curing smell to go away from the inside of my truck) and the other change would be to put the sealant on the truck, then install the glass to the sealant that is already on the truck. Or as others have said, let the pros do it :wall: but that is another story as told in Mary Jane.

:agree: But first pull the fuel filter, make sure it is not clogged, then go after the pump. -
Love, Joy and Happiness from my daughter, What more could I have wanted? Nothing else would have mattered.

Best day is when somebody comments on the chief because they realize that it is something special...and cool to boot.
