  1. yup. those be them.
  2. Laproscopic. although with all the hoopla about how much more awesome it is over the old school slice-n-dice, I had a false sense of how "easy" the recovery would be. this still sucks. just sucks less i guess. still had a crew of docs playing the claw game up inside my chest. feels more like a roto-rooter was used. :ack:
  3. getting there. I still kinda just shuffle around the house trying to be useful (which can be a challenge considering my limitations). still, I hope to be well enough to drive back to michigan by mid next week. :D on the plus side, my bandages have been removed. and I look like I was in a knife fight!
  4. car washes can certainly help, but our trucks tend to rot from the inside-out. :( also, make sure no water is getting under the carpets.
  5. WANT!! I mean, it's only money, right? :clapping:
  6. If the truck is in decent shape rust-wise, DO NOT LET IT TOUCH THE SALT! Winter is a major killer of MJs in the rust-belt. :(
  7. I ran them like that for years. well, technically I trimmed the plates and ran them in the exact orientation they were in SOA. but they were still limiting my up and down travel by an inch or so in each direction. longer bumpstops fixed the up, and I just was gentle for the downstroke. it's a decent bandaid, but it should be just a bandaid.
  8. VERY nice. :D planning any changes?
  9. It can work and has been used, but the shock can become the limit in your suspension travel either up down or both depending on the individual truck. Perfectly fine for a street truck, less perfect for guys that are looking to max out the suspension.
  10. thanks, I'm workin' on it.
  11. need more action shots :D
  12. see, that's easy. just go see Jim. he's got a bunch of rust free MJs.
  13. that's certainly my hope. :D the vast majority of people can eat as they always did. fingers crossed...
  14. a good reason to keep it simple for your first lift. :D What tires are rims are you planning to run? k keep in mind that 2wd MJs sit about an inch lower than 4wd MJs, so if you got a lift kit that included new 3" coils, you're essentially lifting the front of your truck 4".
  15. well, at least it only hurts when I move. or swallow. or breath. :( oh, and I seem to have pulled a muscle in my right shoulder somehow. :dunno:
  16. you are most welcome. we're here to help (as well as to feed our own personal comanche addictions :rotf: ).
  17. no. not even the stones. :fs1: though I haven't given up on them yet.
  18. I hate that thread because of all the tech. people are putting good info into it rather than that info's proper location. :thwak: but I guess I've long since lost that fight and may as well get the tech where the tech goes so at least it's searchable.
  19. I am now a bit lighter than I was when I woke up this morning. :D now for some serious bed time.
  20. your cheapest option is 1.75 or 2" pucks for the front and a longer shackle (the most commonly used ones are aftermarkets designed to drop a late 90s chevy truck 2") in the rear should give you the bump in height you're looking for. lift pucks: http://www.ebay.com/...4f07693&vxp=mtr drop shackles: http://www.ebay.com/...941f5e4&vxp=mtr and you can run stock everything else with it. you might need an alignment after lifting the front. oh, and rust sucks. be prepared for it.
  21. they are 6 or 7" wide depending on which ones you've got.
  22. neat!
  23. definitely
