mostly it was because the owner of the property was a good friend's grandpa and we were tasked with making the rock (and its slightly smaller bretheren) simply go away. but, yeah, I've made several rock gardens over the years.
  3. I will once I've cleaned up and unbox some more of my MJ paraphernalia to put on the top shelf.
  4. I appreciate the offer  but since this will never see 70mph, a couple plain bolts hold it in place pretty good.
  5. by the way, that deep red color of the taillight is now my favorite color. maybe someday I can get a photo that does it justice. it makes my awesome taillight that was previously up there look like total crap! I had no idea how awesome the lights were when new :clapping:
  6. nah, found it on ebay a few years ago. would have been cooler to meet the man himself for sure.
  7. after years of searching and trading I finally have the collection of NOS parts I need for the artwork on my wall. :D bedside, gas tank door, flare, mudflap, taillight, and bumper end cap. all new old stock parts. I don't yet have all of the necessary hardware, so that's why things look a bit off (held up with tape and binder clips). :( In the far future I'm thinking of painting the bedside '92 Eliminator green. maybe with repo Eliminator decals. closeup of my signed poster and new Archer pin             doing a bit of a happy dance

nice! :rock on: My engine hoist has lifted one engine so far. but holy crap is it useful around the house! fav so far was the beanbag chair sized boulder we moved by picking up the rock with the hoist and pushing the trailer under it, then reversing the procedure when we got home. :D man the hoist was straining under that one. :rotf:
  9. ooohhhh... that's pretty bad. :(
  10. are you swapping all of it (harness, etc) or just the block?
  11. that sucks :(
  12. not familiar with all the shows, but the imcdb is up to 48 now :D http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Jeep&model=Comanche&l=fr?PHPSESSID=215a96f2699cc1b6a207f994f1cda107&PHPSESSID=f81016103234ace95e809e8ff7de27b7
  13. awesome! my future projects :D
  14. didn't think of that. guess I'm back to my original statement that trailers are easy to steal. :(
  15. never get tired of the old races :D
  16. the scca rules forbid anything bigger than the 4bangers, probably to keep things competitive and safer.
  17. found it! of course, I'm assuming this is you :D
  18. trust me, I tried to find it. :( guess I'm on too many jeep pages. what days were you driving in what states? maybe that will narrow it down. I can't imagine there were too many MJs towing MJs in the last few days.
  19. yup. the long bed is 6" longer behind the rear tire and 6" longer in front of the rear tire.
  20. gotta put the pic's address in the pop-up photo dealie. and I swear I saw a photo of your trucks on facebook somewhere. somebody saw you and snapped a pic while they passed.
  21. trailers are so easy to steal. :( a small piece of chain wrapped around that chain and the thieves' hitch and away they go to remove the rim at a nearby location. I prefer something that locks the tires up, but even that is only a deterrent. :fs1: need to get one of those tire boots that cops use :D
  22. one of my favs for sure  congradts!!
  23. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . alright that's enough silence... fire up that sawzall! :D
