apparently (from what I've been told) some later years could have been had with the 44 under a short bed (some sort of offroad package?). but only long beds had the metric ton package.
  2. inch shorter? :hmm: those "should" both be the same case (AX-4 and AX-5 are the same except for the added 5th gear) can you snap pics?
  3. see the link in my sig. essentially you'll be adapting the benches floor brackets to the XJ's seat sliders
  4. never know until you try. :D maybe some trimming up to the tailgate at the rear, but I would totally rock that (with some appropriate armor of course). anyone can get a buggy up the hill. takes a man to haul his bed with him

if you can't stab through it with a screwdriver, I'd say it probably just needs some grinding.

line-x will not stop the rust. it'll only seal it up so you won't know how bad it's getting. if you want to be thorough, get a spot-weld drill bit and remove the raised section there. any rust in there will propagate even if you seal everything else. nice floors though! I know a lot of us are deeply jealous. start yourself a build thread and keep us posted
  7. well done sir! well done indeed
  8. you should leave the bed. chopping it up is the easy way out. plus chicks dig scars :D

  12. 20 years now with no leaks. :D It's not rocket science (draw out template, cut out hole, install sunroof) but somehow sunroofs seem to leak more than they should. :hmm: probably a mix of poor installation and maybe cheap parts.
  13. 87-89.5 4.0l MJ had the peugeot manual. 89.5-92 4.0l MJ would have the ax-15 manual.
  14. So I figured out that if you see the error message and you right click on it and select "Open image in new tab" it'll show you the photo on photobucket. If people (or admins) can edit the tech articles and move the photos to imgur or other then they can be restored back to the thread. Just a thought... Tim ps. I'd be willing to help do so if more hands make light work. try it out. you should be able to alter that forum now.
  15. photobucket is ruining my world and I don't even use it! soooooo many tech writeups out there where the pics are all gone :( :fs1:

  18. I wanna say I feel your pain, but my fleet was never that unwieldy before the purge. that's a lot of stuff! plus my stuff was rusty junk. I can't imagine having so much clean metal and having to part with it :(
