  1. far as I know, the ax-15 in a dakotas was only offered in 2wd 4 bangers. have you tried car-part.com yet?
  2. I'll skip ya a step and just move this over to the pub. welcome to the addiction!
  3. I'd cry too if I sold that. wow!
  4. not sure if I could live with just a single MJ. But if I did, I'd want one that was mostly stock.
  5. indeed I did. how about a link to one vid:
  6. weird. must have copied the wrong address. just search for " what makes this song great"
  7. I've been burning through Rick Beato's vids on what makes a song great. super fascinating.
  8. seems the links we had are no longer active.
  9. the MJ is still easy, it's just... different. the truck cannot be in 4wd if the handle is in 2wd (assuming the linkage underneath is working properly of course). the light only tells you about the state of the CAD up front. and if it is indeed stuck engaged, that's not 4wd. just 2wd with an engaged CAD. later XJs just got rid of the whole thing and put in a one-piece axle in it's place.

    Yanked?

nope. Just like some families find they have to avoid certain topics around the dinner table, we too have some guidelines so as to avoid drama. Because people don't come here to hit the hard topics. They come to smile and take part in light-hearted banter about MJs and life. There are millions of other places on the internet to get into the big discussions, I don't feel the CC needs it too.
  11. if you want to simplify things, there's a link in my sig that contains a couple bypasses for the CAD and then you can rip out all the vacuum lines.

your opinion is duly noted. but this isn't 5 guys talking face to face. it's the internet. and this is a forum. and these are typed words. and I have to deal with all the drama that unfolds out of these discussions because it's my responsibility to maintain a friendly place where people can come to talk about Comanches. Been modding this place for a long time now and have no patience for the precursors to drama. Just causes me headaches. Good people have left over drama.
  13. I'm going to split your question off into its own post so more eyes will see it.
  14. I don't remember hearing of one.

you should start it now so we can see all the goodies you scored

    Turbo 4.0

sounds like a fun project! You should start a build thread
  18. I used to only look for "upgrades" like courtesy lights or fancy door panels. Now I think about wear items and all the little things that break with time. It's a lot less exciting than finding a rollbar, but a non-busted up dash is super hard to find in a junkyard around me.

    Yanked?

no problemo. I may even bring it back, but I don't have enough functioning brain cells right now to deal with it all. Chronic Fatigue is like a perpetual hangover and today is a bad day so things are getting bumped into future-Pete's to-do list.
  20. I think the list of what not to grab is shorter than what to grab. Every time I walk away from an old Jeep in the junkyard I'm bummed because I can't afford to snag it all.

no need to apologize. lots of good info and discussion came from it. getting riled up is inevitable (and necessary) when it comes to our civil rights. and it's not deleted, just pulled from the public eye. I never delete things (except for duplicate posts).
  22. some of your posts have been difficult to read.

    Yanked?

no one said anything improper. But yes, it was pulled because I don't really want a discussion on the finer points of the holocaust in relation to the current geopolitical climate on this Jeep truck website. If anything new pops up on the original topic, feel free to post it up.
