I was looking into putting the middle bench out of an Excursion into mine at one point. anything that physically fits can be made to work with some adaptation to the floor brackets. some just take a bit more effort than others is all.

were you using an air grinder to make the cuts? harbor freight has 10 dollar corded ones. I built my truck with that guy.

I do believe the link in my signature has the instructions for the renix TPS. side note, don't use carb cleaner on a rig with an O2 sensor. use a throttle body cleaner, as they are sensor safe.

I've got nothing against adapters in principle, but they will push the tires out even more. but now that I think about it, I may need to put one of the 33s back on the MJ and see just how close the tires get when turning. this whole thread may be a moot point if it turns out I need more backspacing than factory rims tend to have.

my buddy misplaced the title of his truck and went to the DMV and had a new one printed out in 5 minutes. it's super easy for the owner on the title to get a new piece of paper. I'm always suspicious of when they make excuses as to why someone can't get one. but if you can get the VIN, you can usually just have your local cops run it to see if it's stolen.

35 feels a bit high to me for big fat tires under a lightweight Jeep. my chalk tests always came out good at 25 but every tire is a bit different. don't be married to what the tire place gave you. run a chalk test and see where you're at.

sure. any 4.0l/stick/4wd will have 3.07 up front. but 3.55 is better. but I wouldn't necessarily grab that particular dana 30 because 3.55 is the most common ratio in XJs and later years have bigger ujoints and don't have a CAD. if that XJ has a 44 rear, I would grab it regardless of whether or not I needed it.

what do you mean by "rebuilding the ends of the lines"? are you referring to the sending unit? or do you have a pump that doesn't fit the sending unit?

the floor brackets are the same between the MJ bench and MJ buckets. most any bucket seat can be adapted using some 1x1 tube or angle iron. most every 2dr car will have fold forward seats. wander around the junkyard until you find something that your butt likes.

the only thing useful to you out of the tow package will be the d44 if it's indeed there. the hitch of an XJ doesn't fit an MJ. the gearing is matched to the drivetrain, so the 44 would have the same 3.55 gearing as any other 4.0L/auto MJ/XJ.

I'm sure it's because more and more people have gotten wind of the going prices and are trying to cash in. maybe the glut of trucks for sale will bring prices down a bit? maybe? a bit?

well, I don't see the 44 listed outright (don't see a 35 either so the axle code might just be missing), but I do see a trailer package.

can't say I've yet used a sawzall to simply get into the interior of a Jeep.... first time for everything I guess. it looks like they stacked something on it before putting it out.
