They turned out great! They are the size of a buisiness card and designed so you can give them out to other MJ owners you meet or put them on your truck. The background is a really light grey and they are supposed to be UV resistant for a couple years. Still in the works are: - 4"x7" star-n-stripes MJ stickers - 12" long "ComancheClub.com" vinyl letters - 3' long "ComancheClub.com" windshield vinyl letters (I have 2 in my possesion that are white and go on the outside of the truck, but I'm working on ones that are reversed so that they are applied on the *inside* of the glass. That way the windshield wipers can't hurt the vinyl. If all you want are magnets, then I can send those out asap. If you want anything else, let me know here and I'll get on it. Prices are as follow: Donations! Send whatever you'd like and I'll give you a bunch of magnets. This site costs me a little under a hundred bucks a year and the magnets were $125 (minimum order quantity was rather large). Don't know yet what the other stickers/vinyl will cost. All proceeds will go into an account I've set up for our group. If for some reason more money comes in than I need to cover the expenses, the rest will go towards future comancheclub related stuff. Send me a private message with what you'd like and your address and I'll send you my home address or paypal address.

So what's the word on the guided tour? -
I fab because it's fun. It lets me be creative and test new ideas. I'm broke too, but I'd still fab if I was rich, just with better tools. :D There are some things that I can't fab though. You won't catch me making some 4.88 gears anytime soon, and those are the next big things in my buildup. Lockers and gears. It sucks not having a disposable income. :(

curisoity is going to kill the comanche...

You don't need the H.O. head. It just flows a bit better than the older heads. Either will work fine. -
:agree: What he said.

-Top of the windshield seal that dripped down inside the A-pillar. Might never have found that one if my 86 wasn't torn apart, -Aftermarket rear window seal on my 88, -Rear hood seal on my 88, leaked down a wire and through the firewall -Drivers side door on my 88, rain would literally come right through the gap at the top if the wind was blowing just right -Drivers side door on the 88, added this twice since I later on had a problem with rain dripping down the front edge of the wondow frame and coming inside the cab -A/C drain plugged on my 88, left puddles on the passenger side floor And I'm sure there's one or two I'm missing. They are a leak-prone truck and the dang rubberized carpet guarantees that anything that gets under the carpet will stay under the carpet. :headpop: -Oh and I've heard of water finding its way up from underneath the cab through small gaps in the floor.

I think I see some grille left  -
I do believe that factory sliders were all 3-windows and the 4-window ones were aftermarket.

A stroker isn't much more expensive than a regular rebuild. There are guys out there that have spent an absolute fortune on them, but others have done it for reasonable costs. It bolts right in and you can retain the A/C, wiring, and drivetrain (depending on which drivetrain you have of course). Find out how much a 350 swap into an MJ/XJ costs before you compare it to a stroker. Plus, it is easier to swap a 350 into a shortwheelbase Jeeps than into ours. -
I absoutely love driving my friend's CRD! It's fun to drive and I can get 25mpg towing 2000 lbs worth of trailer. :D And the Jeep didn't even notice the extra weight when accelerating into traffic. We'll see in a couple weeks how well it tows my MJ around.

And how exactly do you "throw" a 350 in there? :dunno: Bolt-in adapters are expensive, creating your own is complicated, stock MJ parts are not truly capable of being reliable when wedged beween a 350 and big tires, and the cooling can be an absolute nightmare. -

Looks like an AX-15 to me. The strap is covering up the intermediate plate. Connected to what seems to be an Atlas no less. :D -
Just copy the IMG tag under you pics and paste them here.

Another Idea worth Engineering???

No way that I know of. :dunno: -
Unfortunately, the number of posts on forums doesn't necessarily directly equate to expertise. Especially on other websites where there is more posting in a non-tech type of categorys.

"Full-widths" are generally considered anything that comes from a fullsize truck. There are some exceptions and the Grand Wagoneer is one of them. Think of it this way, fullwidth = tires sticking out way past the fenderflares. It has nothing to do with push-vs-pull, but rather the side of the ring gear teeth that the pinion gear pushes on.

The high-pinion was used up to like 99 and is where the Dana 30 gets its strength. Without going too in-depth in the details, the way the gears interact is stronger in a high-pinion front axle than an otherwise identical low-pinion front axle. But it's backwords in the rear, and a low-pinion rear axle is inherently stronger than an otherwise identical high-pinion axle. My low-pinion Ford 9" rear axle My high-pinion Dana 44 front axle
