It looks that way because they are. He's running the stock LCAs. This was an intermediate step before the rest of the parts are assembled to go for a full 4.5" lift. He's not very good with patience. :D

I would put them on the ground under the truck by the front tires (where they likely jump up into the truck). Maybe a couple on the floor of the truck, but only if you check them every day. I don't like the thought of a dead animal potentially stinking up my truck. :ack:

They are identical transmissions except for the 5th gear in the AX-5. SCCA back in the day used the 2.5L, but they were stock cranks as far as I know.

Chances are good that if you have the AX-5 behind your 2.5, it won't last long behind any additional power. :( The best thing to do is to regear the axles for more perceived grunt and to make better use of the power you've got. :D

Coming along. I was wicked sick for 2 days and spent half this weekend trying to fix the main drain in my house (no toilets, no showers, no nothing) and today was Easter. Needless to say I'm behind schedule, but nothing else has gone right so why would I expect anything less? :roll: The one big thing was that I found I could highlight all the address boxes in Excel, paste them into the notepad, then copy that and paste into Word to get my address labels. If I copy directly into word it retains all the dang excel boxes, but if I do an intermediate jump into notepad, they all go away. Took me 10 seconds to do what I thought was going to take forever. :D I'm so happy. PS, don't anyone dare tell me that there's a simple way to delete the boxes directly in Word. I want to bask in my genius for a while.

Dragging a complete vehicle home is preferred if possible. :D

I wouldn't go as far to say everyone's a motorhead, plenty of our fellow members are just trying to keep the ol' girl running down the road. But my current projects (defined as "a vehicle to which I'm planning a bunch of improvements") are: my 88 MJ, (more mods than I care to list) the 90 MJ, (whole new drivetrain and interior, going to be a DD) my Dakota R/T, (getting stuff that makes me go real fast) and my sister's future car, the big white boat (aka the Grand Marquis) This isn't the actual car, but it looks the same

Have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you watch the front end for movement. Make sure your tierod, draglink, etc is straight.

I reused the stock mount and sandwiched it between the axle and the leaf springs. I had to trim it a bit to make it work but it works pretty good. I was able to reuse my perfectly good stock rear shocks.

Are you sure it's not the exhaust bangin' around? I had that problem in the 88.

If you don't like reposting answers, then don't feel that you need to. There are plenty people here so noone should feel the need to cover everything all the time. I think we have a simple misunderstanding here. Whether Mini meant it that way or not, I think we've all seen way too many "use the search feature you noob!" posts on other forums that his particular words took on a "tone" because of their similarity. It's not his fault. He even said please. :D The way I would have put it is "If I remember right, this was talked about a couple days ago. A quick search should bring it up." Notice that it wasn't a "command" phrase in any way shape or form. (I realize "command" isn't the right word here, but it's been a few years since I had my last grammar class :roll: ) Or I would have simply posted the link to the topic. It takes only a few seconds for a seasoned searcher to find stuff and even less if it's in your head anyway. And remember, not everyone that can find his/her way here really knows all that much about computers. I bet my grandfather could get here, but he hasn't a clue how to post or search. I'm not even certain if he understands the concepts. (I'm bringing him up as an example because I'm the one who's been teaching him how to use his computer and I've been finding it hard to explain certain basic concepts, like when you should "click" or "double click", or what a "folder" is) :hateputers: Bottom line, don't ever assume that the person on the other end of the internet has the same understanding as you. Searching is actually a decently complex procedure and if you aren't good at it, can get very frustrating in a hurry.
