  1. out of curiosity I went in to see why the space was there and I too cannot make it go away. how odd.
  2. I just try to keep the bills to a minimum so the site can remain free for members and free from ads. if anyone wants to contribute, the paypal is ComancheClub@hotmail.com other methods are available if needed. but this coding issue for auto-shrinking the photos needs to be addressed. we might need a pro to step in, but we're not there quite yet.
  3. cheapest I saw on ebay was 40. pullapart north shows an 04 neon though. I might need to pay them a visit
  4. google says that all XJs shared the same mirror mount
  5. ran a wire off the other cab lights (which are now euramtec or however it's spelled). everything is LED now, so power draw is minimal. there's a chance that the old windshield mount is wrong? I had the windshield replaced too and can't remember if the 97+ XJs use a different size.
  6. how married are you to OEM? I installed a mirror from a second gen neon in the 88 I've been fixing up that has map lights built in
  7. some of us are trying to avoid litigation

  10. I strapped mine down differently for my trip out to Moab just because of that. tilt your mirror up and see how often you glance at it. might surprise you. bolted in place: ratchet strapped horizontal: personally I like the idea of the tire being in the bed upright, right behind the driver. takes up a bit of bedspace, but completely out of view. tire swings can rattle/loosen up, if you build your own, be picky about the hardware you choose.
  11. protofab used to make this one
  12. how much to you like glancing in the mirror and seeing directly behind you?
  13. forgot to add that this was my parent's only car when I was born. apparently I rode around on the passenger floor for a wee bit until they traded it for a car with a backseat. excellent planning there dad

  17. well, that definitely narrows it down.
  18. time to go play in the snow!
  19. there are plenty of people driving ZJs around. they would have the chrysler auto trans and it unfortunately doesn't have the same reputation as the AW4. maintenance is key. but then these are all 20+ year old cars. how they've been treated by the previous owners is the number one factor in longevity.
