The proper procedure for bolting on a rim is to torque to spec in a star pattern, then drive around the block and re-torque. At least that's what I do. Haven't lost a tire yet (knock on wood).

The big hose does CCV duty. Not sure what it'd be worth as most guys just rip the dang thing out and run regular vacuum line in it's stead. Maybe someplace where they have visual inspections?

I wouldn't drive it much (around the block a couple times), but I'd do everything needed to keep it "legal". Even if it just sits in the street (although, around here there's a 48 hour rule on that). My trucks are all parked in my neighbors unused parking lot (drs office). I've thought about what would happen if he sold the place and I lost my private parking spaces. The 86 would go to one grandparents, the 90 to the other. The 88 would stay in my driveway and that leaves the Dakota. Not sure what I'd do with it. Although, now that I think about it (again), I'm going to call the Ins company tomorrow and see if my basic parking coverage applies to public roads or just private property. :hmm:

Our engines were designed around a certain amount of back pressure. Individual experience will differ when opening up the exhaust.

I follow all the laws on my trucks that don't move. Each is plated and insured (for parking, not for driving). After that it's just a matter of shuffling them around to avoid the 30 day restriction (a blight rule that says all vehicles have to move every 30 days). Personally, I'd just keep the truck up to date and drive it once in a while. :thumbsup:

Luke, I thought you had a 2.8L? That means you have an AX-5. The Peugeot is a 4.0L-only trans.

I still wouldn't touch it. More than one person has paid that exorbitant amount to rebuild a Peugeot and had it fail again within a few thousand miles. I'd avoid it like the plague.

What rims do you have now? And are the bumpstops still on the truck? How did you lift the rear?

It's sweet. :thumbsup: Just takes some getting used to if you play H3 a lot (you don't have a shield :D ). Problem is that it's a 1-player game. No Co-Op mode, not even when playing online. How am I supposed to share the experience with friends? :mad:

My guess is the planetaries since the warning is only about when using the 242 in AWD mode. I'm finding it tough to track this down using google searches. :headpop: It certainly can't happen all that often, since the CAD axle was never paired with the 242 from the factory and so to replicate this possibility would require some serious breakage, and who the heck wheels hard in full-time mode? :nuts:

Well, I found a cut-away. Not exactly what I wanted but at least it shows the planetary diff. :dunno:
