The t-case takes ATF fluid. If i remember right, that square hole in the Peugeot trans is metric. Most of us find an old 3/8" extension to sacrifice and ground of a tiny bit. Always make sure you can get the fill plug out before you pull the drain plug. :thumbsup:

People that claim the engine is "newer" but have nothing to back it up should not be trusted. Don't take anything he says for granted and look into everything yourself, thoroughly.

Be prepared to kiss your entire drivetrain goodbye, pay through the nose for the best radiator and E-fans you can possibly find, and then still fight cooling issues for as long as you own the truck. It's been done before, but our trucks don't lend themselves to an easy v8 swap. advanceadapters.com and novak-adapt.com are good places to start your research.

The track bar locates the axle side-to-side. Keeping the stock track bar at 3" pulls the axle towards the drivers side and might be causing the contact as the components on the passenger side get closer to each other. At the least, adding it in now will probably cause your steering wheel to turn off center a bit.

Comanches and Cherokees are completely different out back, suspension, frame, everything. The shocks are mounted in different locations and are different lengths.

Only certain gear ratio/axle combinations require removing the carrier. And even then, with some of them you can get away with nipping a bit of the one ring gear tooth that is preventing removal of the center pin. In my ford HP Dana 44, I needed to remove the carrier. :(

I said it tongue in cheek. He'll know exactly how hard it is when he pulls the spiders out the first time. I had to pull the carrier out to swap the minispool into my 44 front and it was quite the pain in the butt.

Ditto on not needing the t-case drop. :thumbsup: Might want to double check with skyjacker that the big assembly will indeed bolt to an MJ. There are some differences in the frame area. YJ brake lines are longer for the front, 95 Dakota brake line is longer for the rear. You'll need longer swaybar links. Disconnect-able are preferred. MJs and XJs run different rear shocks

Don't worry, I already did it. :D I've got a TJ trans/t-case in my 88 and did not need to clearance the floor. It's a tight fit, but no contact has been made.

That's actually pretty easy to overcome. Tighten it down a bit, then add a second nut to lock everything in place. That way it isn't relying on the crush tension to keep it put. :D

Come wintertime, it's a cinch to swap the spiders back in. :D
