  1. no. 3100 is a more likely number for the total 92 MJs made. 952 '92s were made in the calender year 1992. the rest of the 92s were made in the calender year 1991. And these numbers aren't set in stone either, since Jeep continues to resist giving out any data on the production numbers of a 20 year old truck. :dunno: :fs1:
  2. the "hardest" part will be squirting on a new gasket so it won't leak oil afterward. While you're pulling the cover off, pull the C-clip, push the fork and collar over to the engaged position, then reattach the C-slip to hold it engaged all the time. Then you'll never have to worry about it being engaged or not. And in case you're wondering, no, this won't affect your 4wd or 2wd manners except that 4wd will always be there when you pull the lever. :D all modern Jeeps come with a solid axle shaft on that side. The CAD was a mistake that never should have happened. who's got a link to the thread with those pictures?
  3. the bigger tires negate any fair comparison.

    Hello? triple A?

my best guess, assuming it's for real, is that it was dropped from a crane and one of the workers snapped the photo. p.s. I watched a car get run over by a tank twice and the door glass survived (until the third time :D ).
  5. that's from our powwow in 04
  6. I'll be watching..... nothing. there's no TV hookup in this house yet. :fs1:
  7. he's itchin' to lose them too... :fool:
  8. sure it's not coming from up above the clutch slave hole and dripping down? thrown some baby powder up there yet?

    phone question

Can't really comment on a verizon phone. :dunno: lifelong ATT guy here. :D I totally agree with CW. the more expensive phones tend to be better in all aspects.
  11. Let the girls drive. It's a proven strategy for priming their interest. :D (though I didn't say it worked for everyone)
  12. Explorers. Rangers are SOA and have a lot less arch in their packs. Kinda the reverse of MJs and XJs. :dunno:
  13. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18787
  14. I thought I saw that hellcreek was making a full length AAL for MJs.
  15. If you're going to DD it, spend some coin and get a complete and decent quality kit. Going half-assed can produce some strange driving quirks.
  16. I thought there was a diff between XJ and MJ crossovers. no? :dunno:
  17. Do you have recovery tow points front and rear? If not try to stay off the trails. Stick to the play areas. There's plenty to do and you'll be far less likely to get hung up and ruin your (and those around you's) day.

  19. could be a vacuum leak.
  20. :waving:
  21. Chrysler's latest spec for older AX-15s is 10W30 motor oil. Feel free to use a full syn version of that.
  22. You could try searching car-part.com for other WJ-only items and calling those yards about the arms. The WJ metal sleeves will need to be trimmed a bit to MJ specs. And this probably isn't required, but while I was in there I trimmed the arms and the axle a bit for maximum articulation. :D
  23. If you're looking for stock length control arms, I'd go for some arms from a junkyard WJ. Strong boxed design and a bend for tire clearance.
  24. Carly, Perri, and Kitty (who passed away last winter). Carly is my co-driver on wheelin' trips. :D
