  1. Has anyone heard of an RE DB kit failing? I guess I'm not willing to say the RE kit is weak until I hear of one failing. out of curiosity, how much lift did you have on the non-BD RE kit before, when the rubber bushings were failing?
  2. What does the RE brace do? does it strengthen the stock control arm mount? cause MJs won't need that.
  3. I get $1300 bucks as a total. do any of those prices include shipping? Seems like you could get a complete kit from Rubicon express or something for that much dough. :dunno: Maybe even a longarm one. And i concur that stock arms should not be reused if at all possible. At the very least upgrade to stock WJ lowers.
  4. all of mine are lawn ornaments at the moment. just tags and fire/theft.
  5. If you get an np-242 you don't have to worry about running in 4wd on dry pavement.
  6. don't say anything about the 4x4 swap, just mention the lift. Then we'll see how long it takes for her to notice the extra handle in the cab. :D
  7. Not having the space is a concern, but tagging/insuring my trucks cost less than $100 a year (per truck of course). Bring it by my house and I'll store it for ya.
  8. I just may do that when I get back in town next week. we've done it before to try and get rid of the Common Word Threshold, but with little success. :dunno:
  9. thought about mine today. all alone... way up north... covered in snow... :(
  10. :rotfl2:
  11. a 4wd swap can be a great opportunity to gain better gearing by swapping both axles.
  12. Dunno? You want it? It needs a sending unit and "J" bolts. The one in my 88 has rusted so bad it's empty. :( You still remember how to get to the house? You can have it Pete. PM me your address, I'm not sure it's in the GPS anymore. I'll be driving by your place on Saturday on the way back north, so that would be an ideal time to try.
  13. :rotfl2: no photos? :dunno:
  14. Maybe it's because most of my MJs are not really worth anything, but I've never even thought about giving one up because I needed a new vehicle. :dunno: I'll just have an extra rig around. (or more precisely, another extra rig :D)
  15. Dunno? You want it? It needs a sending unit and "J" bolts. The one in my 88 has rusted so bad it's empty. :(
  16. might want to post that up in the Tech forum so more eyes will see it.
  17. 6.5" and 33s? oh, we definitely need more photos. :D
  18. 87-90 CPSs are not swappable with 91+ CPSs. totally different operating systems.
  19. I added in a second main leaf (with the eyes cut off) and used them like that for years with no issues. As long as there aren't any broken leafs. HellCreek sells an AAL that does just that and comes with the appropriate hardware (center pin and retainer straps).
  20. how much lift do you want in the end?
  21. car-part.com might be able to find one close to you in a junkyard.
  22. steal away. :D that's why I post them on the internet.
  23. most olympic editions just got gold decals on them. I've seen a couple with an actual emblem.

I mean no offense, but I'm not sure that anything makes someone sound like an old fart faster than telling a kid his radio is too loud. :clapping: Although those numbers are pretty high. :D
  25. I trimmed mine. just a bit off the arms and a bit off the axle. Got full flex outta it now. :D
