  1. I can dig the primer look. :D (long as it's not actual primer of course) wyk, have you started a project thread yet?
  2. does your truck still have the rear proportioning valve?
  3. anyone see mention of a dana 44 frontend?
  4. yes and yes
  5. might want to take an angle finder to it and see.
  6. our trucks tend to rot from the inside-out. water drain holes in the rockers and doors get plugged with debris, or water gets under the carpet, or as you're experiencing, dirt accumulates on that ledge behind the rear fender and that attracts moisture which rots the bedsides. :(
  7. Depending on how they are made, it'd might be more work to make a smaller one. plus as I understand it, the sides are made up in batches and so are sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting for your call. :D It would be awesome if they made a small patch panel for the typical flare rust.
  8. any update on the dodge?
  9. all depends on how you wanted to mate them up to the truck.
  10. a small brass dowel is your friend here.
  11. What is your caster set to?
  12. since the front and back ends are open, it should just be a matter of cutting them to length.
  13. how nice does it need to look in the end? I don't think you'll ever get the XJ stuff to look perfect. close maybe, to hide the gaping rust holes... there's a company stamping out replacement panels. look at the sticky in the tech forum
  14. how creative are you? the XJ rear flare openings are different in size. It will not be a straight-up procedure. :(
  15. just got this in the mail. :D It's about 12x12 and unfolds to a big poster. not the best shape, but sweet none the less. :clapping: If anyone would like the full size images I snapped, just PM me your address as well as if you have a maximum mb on incoming emails. front cover outside inside
  16. amen.
  17. car-part.com $200 is a decent price if it's the correct axle. Installing an axle isn't all that hard.
  18. rule of thumb: if a factory posi is still in functioning condition, it'll suffice for most wheeling situations for light rigs on smaller tires. add in big tires, heavy rigs or lifting a tire and the posi will allow differentiation (read: loss of traction) and even worse, will quickly wear out.

how about y'all pile into a van and come here and help get my MJs moving again under their own power. :brows: I'll have the house to myself by then and will supply beer/Dew/pizza/tools. :D
  20. the carb won't need much pressure at all, so just about any inline electric fuel pump will work fine.
  21. don't lose your receipt to NAPA. the front doors to a NAPA store are like a time machine (in more ways than one if you live in a small town) that transports you back to an era before computers. I hate them so very very much. "sorry sir, we can't look up your lifetime warranty on those brakepads. You'll need your receipt."
  22. plenty of us are missing this piece due to rampant rust and have experienced no ill effects. :dunno:
  23. bigger, better, badder. :clapping: Then get a stocker to start all over with. :D
  24. DING DING DING right on the money with the tires(275 wide) and a think a 350 is just fine in that engine bay, Ls1s are pretty cool 8) Thought they looked familiar, I just bought a new set (same size and all) for my drag lites. Ive had good luck in the past w/ them, just don't expect too long out of them. Gotta love those t-5's too, 3rd gear is always 1st to check out. Keep us updated, most of us are car guys too. 2nd gear bit the dust in ours.
  25. I almost had one like that... :( I would have hung it up in the garage. :D
