  1. DANA 44, fat-fingered it. I'm thinkin' about it. What you guys thing? Item R27 on the list...............
  2. X2. 4-7 degrees is good.
  3. $375 + shipping from Tapco International. No axles or brake parts. Good deal. http://www.tapcointernational.com/pages/jeepdiff.htm
  4. Finished another useless little project today. Was sick of fumbling for the garage door opener every time I came home, so I opened up my remote and paralleled a small push button switch across the remote button and mounted the button within easy reach on the console. Also was happy to see the remote was powered by a 12V battery, so I hardwired 12V into the remote too and crap-canned the battery. The remote can still be used manually in case of wiring problems since I mounted it in the back of the console away from any metal shielding. Works great! I guess I have too much time on my hands.................. :D :D
  5. Guess UB talking about pulling the glass Jeff. Yeah, that would work
  6. You talking about the round-ish looking nut on the back of the regulator arm where it attaches through a hole in the glass? When I put my power window regulators in I had trouble with this, but there were two flats on the "nut" I was able to get a small adjustable wrench on and screw it off. But never pulled a window glass out mate :D
  7. Just be sure to provide some support like a block of wood under the latch and use a small hammer to tap it out with the drift punch. Don't ask how I know this......
  8. It's called a rolled drift pin and you need the correct punch to drive it out. It's either 1/8" or 1/16".
  9. Oh, okay.
  10. 10"?  I put a set of new regulation 5-leaf Metric Ton springs on mine, 1500# load capacity, and gained 3" only. Whoever built those springs had the arch all wrong. They came in two flavors; two thick leafs and three thin leafs (early), and one thick leaf and four thin leafs (1990+). Or did you go SOA when you installed your new springs?
  11. 12×50mmx2-1/2" grade 8 bolts. I used 1" square tubing cut to length for the spacers. Tractor Supply carries both.
  12. Top
  13. Just by eyeballing your tc angle it should work. As TNT says, these slip yokes will handle a 15* u-joint operating angle, although 12* would be max for me. Have you measured the operating angle of the front joint? It's the angle of the tranny/tc minus the driveshaft slope angle. Obviously your driveshaft slope is the larger number. I think you said the tranny and pinion angles were equal @ 5*? Looks like you might be right at a 12-15 degree operating angle.
  14. Generic photo. Actually looks like this:
  15. Yeah, I have a new one. What's the measurement on your existing yoke from the center of the u-joint cap to the end of the slip shaft? This one is a Spicer unit and measures 5-7/8". Image Not Found Image Not Found
  16. I posted that originally . Received it within four days, and the install was a piece of cake, although I had to spread the mounting bars out about 1/2" with a jack to clear the bumper brackets.
  17. Err, I'm interested, and confused also.
  18. That's just a mirror from some GM with built-in map lights. I'm thinking of swapping it out with a auto-dimming model w. Homelink so I can use it to open my garage door and other stuff. Either do that or modify the garage door remote so I can open the door with a dash switch and eliminate the 12V remote battery.
  19. You can always put one of these in too: Image Not Found
  20. What is the difference in the assemblies????? Don't know the difference, but they carry different part numbers. I do know though that the 95-96 master/booster is a pure bolt in (except for fabbing new mc brake lines), and you can retain your 91 pedal with no mods. Maybe the 97 assembly is the same, should be easy enough to eyeball it?
  21. Ah, didn't know you had a 96 in there. I like the outside temp gauge only to let me know if it's approaching freezing and the roads are starting to ice up. And to let me know how crappy my A/C is when it's 100* or so. And yes agree, the compass is useless. But some of these consoles had a MPG gauge which may be useful. Or maybe I really don't want to know
  22. Depending on the year chevy yukon??? console you installed, most of the functions (except the lights and perhaps the temp if you have the sensor) will not work because your MJ is not OBD2. But it's a nice looking ornament though
  23. If you decide to try the dealer to get one (who knows, they may surprise you  ) be advised that the left is not interchangible with the right and the LWB and SWB shock mounting plates are different also.
  24. Roger - thanks!
  25. Agree, those are sweet. Those same vents were also on some of the late model XJ export models. Basically impossible to find, but if you do please let me know..........
