  1. According to the parts manual, the decal on the back window said BIG TON in caps, then underneath had the numeral "2205". I'm guessing payload? There was also a decal available for the back window "OFF ROAD PACKAGE". No idea on this, maybe D44 equipped. Interesting...........
  2. Hey Pete, does plastic rust in MI? If so, maybe it's gone. :D It's a regulation AMC / Mopar factory part and is (was) located on the lower right corner of the tailgate.
  3. It's a badge located on the tailgate for the Metric Ton package. The part number is 55013576. Maybe Brent can run it thru the locator and by some miracle some dealer will have one on the shelf. Doubt it though...
  4. Dayem, you made me go measure. Yes, 18" is correct. I was just parroting Pete and his rusted windshield adaptations......
  5. Waay too much to get into here. Start your research here: http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/stroker.html
  6. Unless your wiper arms are shot (no tension and/or other problems) I just replace the blades. I like the 14" Bosch Micro Edge blades personally...
  7. I agree. Maybe both of these guys have good intentions, but w/o Congressional support, they will be just pi$$ing in the wind. There is no progress because the special interest groups mired in their 1970's mentality who are running things will not allow any changes that could potentially hurt them and/or their cronies, and will continue business as usual. I think the best either one of them could do is immediately start damage control repair on our global reputation that the previous two or three administrations have almost destroyed. We have little international respect left, and we're are losing the economic battle both domestically and abroad. Maybe it is time for a fresh face. I'm still undecided who I'll vote for, and I'm damn worried. I'm worried about my kids' future, and all our younger generation coming up. It's going to be tougher for them than it was for my generation....... Sorry for getting somewhat political.........
  8. which are probably as round as a baseball Does anybody understand this guy? Or is it just me? :hmm:
  9. That's ancient technolgy JT. :D We used portable regulated bulb ballast power supplies for starting torpedo motors way back when whan I was on subs in the USN. The $3 p/s you linked to sends unregulated pulsed DC to the battery and can quickly boil off the electrolyte if not monitored (or the house fuse doesn't blow first). Too risky for me matey. As far as running a 12VDC fan on a dedicated power supply, very doable. You are correct the fan will probably draw 12-15 amps while running, but the startup amp draw can go over 20A in most fans. You could use the 12V output of a PC power supply, but you really don't want it running over 75% it's capacity for long periods. So you would need at least a 500W PS to run the fan load w. no worries.
  10. Have the minor glitches tured major Pete?
  11. Beautiful country Dirty, great pics. Enjoyed it. Have you ever read James Clavell's Whirlwind? Great book detailing the pullout of the Brit 212 and 206 choppers out of Iran when the Shah was overthrown and the mad Ayatollah Khomeini came into power. You would like it. :D
  12. "Open" type radiator with thermal switch bung hole.
  13. He!! no! As long as you are really a vet. Which I'm sure you are. :USAflag:
  14. I thought the rust up there was more brown color than red.
  15. Original Getting there Still getting there
  16. Good choice on color. The rust won't show so bad.......
  17. Total. Just for comparision, the stock 5-leaf MT springs were rated for a total payload of 1560 lbs.
  18. Alas, NH doesn't offer Jimmy Buffett Parrothead plates. However AFAIK the NH plates still sport the best state motto in the USofA: LIVE FREE OR DIE! Who can ever forget the late great George Carlin's routine? But by now it's probably succumbed to political pressure and been done away with it. Like they did here in 'Bama when we had HEART OF DIXIE on our plates. The state flag however still sports a variation of the Stars & Bars, the Crimson St. Andrew's cross on a white field, patterned after the Confederate Battle Flag. And of course, there's a lot of pressure to change that too. I don't get it..........sigh
  19. Do both. I think they will be very popular up in NH.
  20. Are you talking about the 1999+ intake manifold? Or an exhaust manifold?
  21. Same as ours except it has a moose on it drinking a beer and playing hockey..... ;) :jump: Now that would make a great headliner! :jump:
  22. Not the headliner, but I've always liked the original Mini Coopers w. the Union Jack on the roof. The Brits aren't as sensitive about their flag as we are.
  23. What's the Canuck Conferedate flag look like? :D
