  4. Turn on the ignition key to RUN. Disconnect the wire from the sensor; the gauge needle should go to C. If not, touch the sender wire to ground; the gauge needle should go to H. If okay, replace sender. If not there is an open circuit between the sender and the temp gauge.
  5. Crap! I missed that. Well, I'll just skip tomorrow then. :D

  7. Yeah, this crap is getting boring, it's too repetitive. :ack:
  8. I forgot the pan magnet last time I changed the filter almost two years ago - still haven't put it back in.
  9. I know this is like asking for the moon, but I'll ask anyhow: I picked up a NOS XJ HO fuel sending unit, and I need to "borrow" a sender from a 91 or 92 MJ to see if I can mod the XJ sender to fit an HO MJ. If it's broke or toast that's okay, just need one to work with. Perhaps with a little creative cutting, bending, and brazing I can get the XJ unit to fit in the tank and work. I know about the tank baffles, etc. but I'm thinking maybe a mod is possible.
  10. Yes, that's how mine come off. Just pop it off the pin w. a pry tool. and use some grease on the pin installing the new one.
  11. Did ya get the sweater w. the mutt? I think it would fit my Cocker just fine. Let me know........... :D
  12. Dayem zoomies. :D The bench is fine for running errands around town, but on a long trip, you gotta like the big side bolsters and better back support on the XJ buckets.
  13. The answers, good as they were, took longer than ten minutes. And they were NOT from either of the requestees. I'm goin' back to NAXJA. :jump:
  14. Hey Chico and Jim; Couple of questions. I tries the search function for about ten seconds and couldn't find any answers: 1. What rear end do I have? 2. What's the biggest tire I can fit on my rig? 3. What is the strange noise when I'm going backward? 4. How can I get more power? Better mileage? 5. What color is my MJ? 6. Why does my truck slow down going uphill? 7. Why is my driveshaft short now after a 10" lift? 8. Where can I find a new truckbed? 9. Will an 01 XJ engine work in my 87 Renix? AND 10. How much is my MJ worth? I expect accurate answers to all questions within ten minutes max, and I will not say thanks after you provide them.
  15. I verified with the seller that in fact the part number on the visor is correct for the MJ. :D
  16. Lund MJ fiberglass sun visor on Ebay HERE Wasn't someone looking for one of these??
  17. If you're local, go take a peek. I sure would if I were close. And crawl underneath and check out how the two dissimilar "frames" were joined; bracing, fabbed bracketry, gusseting, everything. Oh, and take some pics. I'd really like to see how it was done.
  18. That's a nylon/plastic insulation ring for the slip ring (#8). If it's missing that's most likely causing your problem. :D
  19. My guess is that the insulation plastic retainer (part 13) is either missing or allowing the grounding pin (part 15) to extend and make contact with the slip ring and trigger the horn relay. Happened to me once........ :fs1: Image Not Found
  20. You've grounded your horn wire in the steering wheel hun internally somehow. The clicking is the horn relay. Which steering wheel do you have? The three or two spoke?
