  1. Gotta pass this on - hopefully it will help someone out. I had a return line quick-connector seeping ATF out on my my AW4 tranny cooler, so I ordered a couple of aftermarket repair kits as pictured below because I couldn't find any of the original Mopar kits for the 3/8" line. The aftermarket kit comes with a plastic snap connector, O-rings, spacer, and "installation" tool. Luckily I ordered two, based on past experience with this junk. Sure enough, plugging it in using the tool into the tranny line female connector housing, and as endorsed by the FSM, it wouldn't snap in to the hard line, and I ended up breaking the el-cheapo aftermarket plastic snap connector. Using the spare connector, I reversed the procedure by manually assembling the snap connector, O-rings and spacer on the male hard line vs. the female connector, and it plugged right in and snapped shut - no leaks. Morale of this story? The aftermarket connectors are junk. The snap piece is fragile black plastic. On the OEM connectors it's white nylon, and much sturdier and flexible. I will replace the junk connector as soon as I can find some NOS original repair kits.
  2. A lot cleaner looking than mine - nice job Wade. This is something I have to do but have been procrastinating. Will get on it now.
  3. Truly.
  4. Very clean SW2. Is that the original carpet?
  5. Rob is correct, 15x7. http://colorado4wheel.com/jeepwheels/xjwheels.html
  6. 2.07 gears. Wow, that's pretty tall gearing. Are you going to install 10" tires?
  7. Below is a pic of the factory bar. If it has studs on the feet, it's not factory, unless someone put them there. Can't imagine why anyone would do this though........ :dunno: Image Not Found
  8. Pick up a thick book on a subject that doesn't interest you at all, like a cookbook or encyclopedia volume. It'll knock you out in 5-10 minutes depending on the the book's boredom-proneness scale ranking.
  9. Not a chance. Both her and myself would feel like a damn fool going down the road in that.
  10. Yep. BUT, it has over $9700 of work put into it. Whatever that means.............
  11. Only $5,500 (to start) RIGHT HERE
  12. Paypal sent Pete.
  13. A lot of replacement radiators work well for converting Renix cooling systems since they retain the fan switch bung hole. Even the aluminum single core radiator I use on my 91 has one.
  14. I'd look like a tool showing up in a church at any time. I'd be afraid the building might fall down. But thanks for the reminder.
  15. 1991 and up XJ or MJ will work for this.
  16. Hey John. I sent the guy an offer a couple of weeks ago, no response. I'm not about to call him though. Just me.
  17. IB here - had some auctions ending tonight.
  18. Send a picture - you are just wasting everyone's time guessing what you are talking about.
  19. :D Gonna sell them Bo. Still awaiting the last two turbine wheels, prolly early next week.
  20. Check under the dash near the headlamp switch and see if you have one of these plugged in. It's the headlamp delay module and if it's bad can cause the headlamps to go out randomly. The fix; replacement or just unplug it and forget about it. Image Not Found
  21. :D Just as soon as I get them mounted and balanced mate.
  22. The Haynes/Chilton manuals are better than nothing, but just barely. On detailed electrical schematics, they are worse than nothing because of their generality and not keeping up with year-to-year changes. A model specific FSM CD is better by far, but nothing beats a hard copy full FSM set for your year/model. I hate working from a CD personally. But get the CD first, it's cheap, then check Ebay often as there are often good deals to be found for a complete set of FSM manuals. :D
  23. Done by a local shop here.
  24. Anyway..............
