  1. See if this helps. If not, I have a PDF I can send that shows all Jeep belt routing diagrams. http://stu-offroad.com/engine/belt/belt-1.htm
  2. Good a guess as any. When I cut the top off it was a hole all the way through.
  3. Battery hold-down bracket.
  4. The MOOG K80035 links (used for the rear sway bars on some Ford F350s) are also a direct bolt-in, about 1" longer than the 1992 MJ/XJ links, and are beefier.
  5. Thanks Correy. Looks like the cover part number changed in 1994. Maybe it's there for casting purposes. :dunno: EDIT: You beat me Alex.
  6. No one knows huh? Well, I don't either. Anyone have a guess? Also, anyone have a 97 and up XJ? Curious if the timing cover on those has that protuberance/boss/nub or whatever it's called.
  7. I have the 1997+ power steering setup with the newer intake manifold. I use a serpentine belt for the 1999 and up XJs and route it the same way as in the pic below. I noticed yesterday some fraying on the belt, and when I pulled it, I could see the belt had been riding across the nub pictured below (not my pic) on the timing cover which tore it up over time. I broke out the old Dremel tool and cut it down about 3/8", replaced the belt, and now have plenty of clearance for the belt to ride. My question is: What is the purpose of that nub sticking up near the timing marks? Anyone know?
  8. Merged and cut - not so redundant now.
  9. The 4.0L and 2.5L A/C hoses are not the same. Below are the correct part numbers for your 2.5L if it has factory A/C. You can probably cross the part numbers. 56001781, HOSE, Evaporator to Compressor, w/o Muffler 56002950, HOSE, Evaporator to Compressor, w/Muffler 56002196, HOSE, Receiver to Evaporator
  10. From stuff I've collected when I was considering 4WD conversion: All TJ's have 297's, all 97+ XJ's have 297's as well as most '96's, '95's with ABS have 297's, and there's a good chance if it's from '91-'94 with ABS it will have 297's as well. No guarantees but good source.....
  11. Check your axle vent(s) for blockage. My rear axle seals were leaking because the pressure could not vent. Had to drill out the little white plastic vent tube adapter that presses into the axle tube. VoilĂ !
  12. Amen brother. Couldn't agree more. Mayweather is a scumbag. Mosely, Cotto, Hatton, etc. he fought them all after their best days were over. I think tonight Guerrero has a shot. He's young, hungry, and a southpaw. And the dirtbag has been off for a year. Hoping he gets old tonight............ Edit: NOT YET.
  13. Manny's still up there. In everyone's opinion except the judges he won the Bradley fight, and he got careless and nailed by a punch he never saw coming from Marquez. Until then he was way ahead on the scorecard. I'm still think a Pac - Floyd fight will happen. My $$ will be on Manny.
  14. Anyone gonna watch? I am so hopefully I can see Floyd get the sheite kicked out of him.
  15. Just registered the JK and the MJ in Alabama. The JK was $250.95 (first full year only = pay tax), the MJ was a mere $28.35. And yes, I did have to provide proof of insurance as usual.

You can repair the stripped holes pretty easily by drilling them out and installing 1/4 x 20 nutserts if all else fails.
  17. The Jeep part number for these bolts is S0180144. The dealer might be able to cross it for you.
  18. Take the damper off and go for a drive. Then you'll know.
  19. Douche with Goo-Gone, let sit for 20-30 minutes, scrape off with a 1" paint scraper. Repeat maybe three more times, then clean with alcohol. Fun stuff............
  20. Well, now that I've seen that pic, that's the same as we had on both the 98 and 01. Both were overseas vehicles from AAFES (in Korea and Guam), and were mostly driven by the wife since I was mostly gone traveling. Thanks for ringing my bell Rob. Guess I never paid much attention to it.
