  1. The two rear cables are the same for LWB and SWB. The length difference is made up in the single front cable.
  2. Must have been Goodyear tires. Possibly Wranglers GSA's? They make them square.
  3. How hot was it? No shirt, no pants, no problem My Reese peanut butter cups turned into Reese peanut butter shooters...I drank 'em anyway. The next book should be called 50 shades of red Its so hot out here that this cd we found on the street is sweating! My sweat started sweating The Devil was in Ace Hardware buying air conditioners My golf ball stuck to the clubface upon impact. I saw Optimus Prime transform into an air conditioner My change melted into a medallion in my purse. I just seen an elderly woman walk through the sprinklers in the garden section at Target.... It's so hot today you could fry an egg on an ice cube People with jeeps have their tops up and AC My balls are sticking to the side of your leg It's so hot I filled a kiddie pool with my sweat A crackhead just tried to sell me a ceiling fan.. Squirrels are pouring Gatorade on their nuts I watched my dog pee from the window inside Popsicles are melting in my freezer!! That the Statue of Liberty has armpit stains. I got raw footage of the devil backstroking in the baptism pool. That I just saw a group of mennonite women wearing daisy duke shorts! My pool won't be ready for another couple days... I need a pool to go to tonight. I just saw a bum with a sign that said "Will work for shade" I wish I was five so I could run through the sprinkler without looking like a freak Having to put your phone in the fridge because it overheated The National Weather Service has issued a fat guy in tank top warning.... It's so hot I actually felt emotionally close to our air conditioner this morning. It completes me. 5. Me either. Digital or (better yet) purchase a hard copy 1991 FSM set. 91 was the first HO year, and there are lot's of differences between it and the 92 models.
  6. Good advice all. ^^^ These 10-blade late model XJ fans can suck up 24A on startup and 9A-15A while running. There's no way a 60A alt can handle this extra load over normal as you have seen. I have two of these fans installed. Did the Jon Kelly mains cable upgrade, installed a larger Group 34 battery and a Dodge V8 136A alt. This is adequate with everything running at night including the H4 head lamps and driving lights, and the blower motor on at HI speed. If I turn on A/C along with everything else, I do have a slight voltage drop. So for me a larger alternator is probably needed. It's very important to upgrade your electrical system capacity to handle at least 100% of the total load w/o a sustained voltage drop. It prevents unwanted smoke tests and/or wire fires.
  7. No boot came on the steering gear end of the Pitman arm from the factory.
  8. That's an aftermarket Fey bumper, not stock. Overall a very nice rig though.
  9. That's an aftermarket Fey bumper, not stock.
  10. First you have to determine if the harsh shift is due to hydraulics or a bad TCU. First check the TV cable adjustment detailed in this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/35987-weird-transmission-problem/?hl=cable&do=findComment&comment=360110. If okay, then do the manual shifting test by disconnecting the inline fuse from the TCU under the right side dash, or unplugging the connector from the module. Then go for a drive and manually shift from the 3 position to the 1-2 position, then to D to see if the harsh shift is gone.
  11. Typical automotive relay wiring. Pins 85 & 86 are the trigger contacts (IGN switched); pins 30 & 87 are the load contacts.
  12. They are only about $8 at AZ, so just buy it - you'll need again and again. Helpful link: http://www.elcaminocentral.com/showthread.php?t=27192
  13. I have an aux fuse panel directly powered by the battery that protects my power windows and mirrors, driving lights, second electrical fan, and HI/LO H4 headlights. The driving lights, headlights, and fan all have their own switched-ignition relays. The aux fuse panel individual circuit outputs are wired to the load side of the relays. Only my power windows/mirrors are not relayed, simply because I wanted to use them w/o turning on the ignition. What I'm saying is, you don't normally power up the entire supply side of a auxiliary fuse panel through a relay; you fuse the individual circuit outputs to the from the fuse panel to the relay load contacts that are wired to the devices, like the lights and fans, etc. That way the individual relay coils triggered by the ignition switched supply voltage are protected; the load relay contacts and end devices like the lights and fan are protected by the aux fuse panel. Also the supply voltage input to the new fuse panel should be fused by a fuse large enough to handle 125% of the total load if all the devices on the fuse panel are powered up at once. This is how the factory does it, and it's standard automotive electrical practice.
  14. Thanks Johnny - just wanted to be sure.
  15. Yeah, that^^. And what calipers/rotors did you use for the conversion?
  16. The Ford Explorer rotor houses the parking brake shoes in the "tophat" section of the rotor. How is the parking brake for ZJ rear disk brakes configured? Similar way?
  17. Charlie, just junk the rear drums on that D44 and install some Ford Explorer or ZJ disks and no more problems. Never look back and better brakes too. Win-win.
  18. The post was for the benefit of the rust belt guys. It's tough to find a used bolt and nut in semi usable condition in them thar parts.
  19. Okay, I can sure understand that.
  20. From the dealer: 34202463, Nut, Retainer, $2.80 34202640, Bolt, $7.14
  21. Sure, it's possible, but why would you want to do it? It makes better sense to put a larger HO Denso alt in a Renix by changing the bracketry and adding an external regulator.
  22. :redX:
  23. Pete, here are the vehicles this alternator resides in:
  24. 88whitemanche, you gotta open it up to tell. Unless you can jack it up with both wheels off the ground, and turn one wheel. If both wheels rotate the same way, it's a limited slip diff. If one rotates cw and the other ccw, it an open diff.
