  1. Correct, for the 93-98 boxes.
  2. Yes, they are interchangeable. You might want to try a gear box from a 93-98 ZJ. It's a little quicker ratio than the XJ boxes and feels a lot better on the road.
  3. $12,900 Canadian? Holy crap!
  4. Me too. Good to hear from you Sam. Still doing sea trials?
  5. UPDATE: Got the new Addco bar on today - it's right now. While the stock WJ bar was a good handling improvement, the thicker WJ Addco bar went to the next level. Body roll is completely gone. You can even feel a bit of predictable understeer now, something I never had before with any MJ or XJ. Addco makes two rear stabilizer bars for the WJs in 1" and 7/8" diameters. Their biggest seller by far is the 1" bar for the heavy WJ, and they had plenty of unsold 7/8" bars laying around. The new 7/8" bar cost me $75, well worth the cost. It's just right for the long bed rear end. Anyone need an almost new stock WJ bar? You can have it free, just pay shipping.
  6. According to the factory parts manual: 1989 w. D35 rear axle: P/N J8133818 1989 w. D44 rear axle: P/N 83502385 Do a part number search on RockAuto for your axle. There's a killer closeout deal there now for the J8133818 (WAGNER PAB267) shoes.
  7. Yep, it's definitely a positive sign to see Sir James still has his bovine excrement flowing well. You too Fred.
  8. Olde pharts Fred. Eagle taught me how to spell it correctly.
  9. Scored a new Addco 634 rear WJ bar at over 50% off. Same dimensions exactly as the stock WJ bar, except for the diameter; 9/16" vs. 7/8". Got new busings for it and will slap it on tomorrow. The stock WJ bar was great; the thicker Addco bar should be even better.
  10. Some observations regarding these two animals: The Dog: The dog was an eight-month old Golden / Chow mix. The dog is still alive. He's sitting out a 7-day rabies quarantine at the local animal control. The dog acted like a cat (or lion) by carrying out a sneaking ambush attack on the child from the rear. The dog acted like a cat again by hauling a$$ at first contact with his enemy, even though the odds were in his favor. The Cat: The cat acted like a dog by attacking her enemy head-on protecting her future master. The cat had no fear attacking an enemy much larger than her. Also dog-like. The cat, originally a stray, followed the family home from a park five years ago. Dogs do that. I'm also a dog person. But In this case the cat was the alpha dog. I'd love to have a cat like that.
  11. When you lift an MJ, often the upper front sway bar links will make contact with the coil springs, if this is what you mean. On a 3" and below lift, usually replacing your stock links with the longer end links from a 92 and up XJ/MJ will provide enough clearance.
  12. Jim is far from normal, and I'd like to see him stay that way. For a very long time. Rock on brother.
  13. Maybe, maybe not. Unfortunately neither you nor I sit in their boardroom. But one thing is a certainty: If they don't make big profits building and selling mallcrawlers, there's no chance in hell cool concept vehicles like the Gladiator and Traildozer could ever become reality.
  14. I just saw it today and it's a nice "feel good" story. Kind of nice for a change.
  15. Is this cool or what?
  16. Most likely that's it. Unfortunately that piece is not available separately. John Q will have to fab up a neoprene rubber stopper or something. Sender's not for sale Adam. Nice try though.
  17. Good honest eval Terra. Thanks.
  18. Stopper? What it is?? Where is it?
  19. Sounds good and great job. When are you going to install the Bosch 0280155703 injectors? Are you going from the single port stock Mopar injectors to the 703's? I also have a set of these I haven't put in yet, and would love to hear your results.
  20. Y'all fail to see the big Jeep picture. Check out Incommando's post above. If models like this reach the US, they will sell. Big time. Who? 85% of JK / JKU sales are to buyers who could care less about performance, i.e. off-road, because it doesn't happen with them. It's an image thing they buy. And the more creature comforts available, the more they will sell. This equals more overall corporate profit. With profit, maybe then all the mouth-watering Jeep concepts we see and want every year might become a reality because they can risk that gamble economically and take a chance and actually produce it. But performance Jeep buyers are the minority, and always will be.
  21. :agree: Nice work. Good to hear the axle is now centered too. Good exhaust treatment also.
  22. How's she drive Rob?
  23. Yep - missed that. Good advice. The helpers sure don't make them MT springs.
  24. Must be confused and thinks it's a new Cherokee.
